I want to address how I am actively doing my part to help keep not only my clients horses safe from the EHV outbreak, but my own horses as well! This is not to be taken lightly and I am pleased to see the amount of events being called off, and riders drawing out to help this spread come to a halt as quickly as possible for the horses sake!
I am restructuring my entire schedule for the next 21 days so that I will not be traveling to more than 1 location for work per day so not to risk contamination. I will not be working at any location where horses have traveled in or out of Arizona in the past 14 days. Along with having spare clothing, sanitary sprays and wipes for my vehicle and even down to my boots. My horses are extremely important to me, and so I will as always treat your horses with the same cares and prevention methods.
I want you to feel confident knowing that your bodywork still matters and this is a great time to get to know your horses with your bodyworker, and help them feel their best! Having regular bodywork boosts immunity and helps reduce stress, which is our goal for all of our horses but especially in times like now with increased health risks and harsh weather changes.
The importance of having massage and other bodywork done on your horse include but are not limited to -
● lymphatic circulation, draining lymph fluid into the nearest glands where it can be cleansed of toxins.
● ensures efficient exchange of carbon dioxide in the lungs as well as smooth flow mucus. Good mucus flow helps keep toxins/debris from becoming lodged within the cell membranes of lung walls, warding off disease.
● reduces stress which can negatively impact the immune system.
● increase white blood cells, particularly natural killer cells, which are crucial for fighting pathogens, also enhances the activity of red blood cells, promotes the proliferation of muscle satellite cells for repair and strength against disease.
I appreciate the horse community coming together on this, and am grateful for having clients who have trusted me with their horses for years now ♡ I am here to keep your horses feeling and performing their best, even if it is just our backyard arenas for a bit, we will help eachother through this and be back in the performance pen soon!!!
Dun Right Equine Therapy thanks you all and please let me help you and your equine partners however I can.
