VIDA mission is to promote and destigmatize HIV awareness through Bilingual outreach and education.
VIDA is dedicated to resolving the HIV crisis within the Latinx community, where social stigma, poverty, language barriers, education, and access to care, deter testing and increase the infection rate.
We have a lot of data showing us that oral PrEP begins to work quickly upon initialization. But the CDC’s conflicting and confusing data about PrEP start-up times have created dissonance between prescribers and consumers today and applied a layer of mistrust that harms these relationships.
Despite the devastation of the past year, the collective efforts to lift the voices of the HIV Community have not been stopped. Nearly all threats to HIV-related services are met with organizing and direct political engagement, from the state houses to the U.S. Capitol.

In moments of struggle, when discrimination intensifies, when rights are rolled back, when our communities are pushed to the margins, it can be easy to feel discouraged. Yet time and again, hope shows up in the form of one another. It lives in every advocate who refuses to step aside, every organizer who keeps fighting, and every person who chooses community over despair.
As we look toward Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we are reminded that progress has always been carried by people who, despite hardship, commit to showing up with hope, courage, and conviction. That same spirit fuels our HIV advocacy movement today. We find strength in each other, and we push forward together.
