I love that she mentioned it being a gift. Because honestly? So many of the women who step into my studio aren’t just coming for themselves.

They’re exhausted moms, caregivers, busy women who are always the ones doing the giving.

And sometimes the most meaningful gift isn’t another thing.

I see it all the time in my practice. Women walk in carrying so much mental and physical tension, and by the end of their session their shoulders are lower, their breathing is deeper, and their minds feel clearer.

Save this video to try this routine on a friend, or yourself!

Ever feel like your brain is in a fog and your thoughts can’t land?

This small but mighty spot, right at the tips of the big toe and all of the lesser toes.

By applying gentle pressure or small circular motions, you’re sending signals to support focus, reduce stress, and help your mind reset.

I love pairing this with a breath prayer like, “Renew my mind, Lord.”

On the days when I’m juggling school schedules, clients, dinner, and never-ending laundry… this is one of my go-to grounding tools.

It’s easy, its natural, and it works.

Some of the most meaningful gifts don’t come wrapped in fancy paper.

They come from a friend who knows exactly what you need.

…A reflexology session after a long season of giving.

…A calming tincture passed across the table with a quiet, “This made me think of you.”

…An oil blend that offered a deep breath during the postpartum haze.

These are the gifts that speak straight to my heart.

The ones that say, “I see you. You don’t have to do this all alone.”

That’s the heart behind my gift certificates.

They can be used two ways:

For a hand or foot reflexology session in my peaceful Sandpoint studio

Or toward natural wellness products I carry, like nervous system-supporting tinctures, oils for dry skin, and other reflexology tools for rest and self-care

Perfect for the new mama, the overextended friend, or the woman in your life who does so much for everyone else.

We show up for so many people.

We help our kids with homework and chores, prepare healthy meals, work with clients, keep the house running, check in with friends, make date night happen, and somehow make sure there is clean underwear.

We pour into everyone else, but sometimes we forget to refill our own cups. God calls us to rest and care for ourselves too.

Taking time to recharge is not selfish. It is part of living fully in His design.

Morning quiet time, a brisk walk, early bedtime, laughter, or stress relief like reflexology can help you restore your energy.

Need an hour to fill your cup?

Book a foot reflexology session and keep pouring into the people you love.

The feet are architectural masterpieces.

26+ bones.

Four layers of muscles.

Tiny sesamoid bones under the great toe (also called the hallux 😉).

A powerful flexor hallucis longus tendon running down the inside of the foot.

And don’t even get me started on plantar fascia.
I’ve been diving deeper into foot anatomy and physiology lately, and the design is incredible. Complex. Challenging. Fascinating.

The more I learn, the more I appreciate how brilliantly we’re made.

If you want to keep the conversation going, book a reflexology session at www.sandpointreflexology.com, and we’ll talk about your feet in person.

One of my clients came to me with something most people wouldn’t think reflexology could help with.

Her esophagus had lost most of its swallow response.

For a long time, swallowing simply didn’t work the way it was supposed to.

And what most people don’t realize is how much that impacts everyday life. Eating becomes stressful.

Drinking water requires focus. Even something as simple as sharing a meal with family can feel overwhelming.

When she began reflexology, we worked gently and consistently. And yes, just through her feet.

Over time, her swallow response began to improve. Not overnight. Not dramatically all at once. But over time, her body started responding. Tension patterns began to release.

Now, more than a year later, her esophagus has returned to an almost normal swallow response.

The body was designed to heal. Sometimes it simply needs the right kind of support and space to do what it was created to do.

I’m always in awe of how God designed our bodies to respond when we work with them instead of against them.

I see this all the time with my clients, especially parents and people who are just plain busy.

They’ll come in and say, “I’m just a little tired,” or “It’s just a full season.” And most of the time, they really have been pushing through for a while.

As we start the session, I can often feel how much tension their body has been holding. Breathing is shallow. Shoulders are tight. The nervous system is still in go-mode.

And the interesting part? Many of them didn’t even realize it until their body finally had a chance to slow down.
I love watching that shift happen. Breathing gets deeper and their nervous system settles.

For parents especially, that reset can make such a difference, not because life suddenly gets less busy, but because their body isn’t running on high alert the whole time

Inflammation is a hot topic, and it is blamed for many ailments!

My inflammation usually shows up as arthritis in my hip, swollen hands and general joint achiness.

My go-to home remedy to help fight inflammation is Golden Milk. I LOVE this warm, soothing drink on a winter night. Add a little honey and voila! You’ve got a healthy snack that satisfies your sweet tooth.

I had a good day.

Skiing with a friend.

Handled my daughter’s multiple ski meltdowns with grace.
Sunshine, fresh air, happy to be home.

Then she pops in and says, “Mom, do you want the good news or the bad news?”

“Good news.”

“We have seven chickens. Yay!”

“…We had eight.”

One chicken down. Half hour I didn’t have.

Then my husband realizes he thawed a backstrap and must grill it because who wastes a good backstrap.

Minor tiff. Tension rising.

I run outside to grab my water bottle and the grill is on fire. Huge flames, black smoke, chaos.

Thankfully the house is fine, but wow. It is wild how fast a calm day can turn intense.

Life flips the switch sometimes.

This is exactly why I am so grateful for reflexology.

When things spike, I don’t have to stay in that stressed state. I can work specific reflexes on my feet to calm my nervous system and even help my family settle too.

I made a simple 5-minute foot reflexology routine for those “everything just went sideways” moments.

Because we all have them.

When a client shares words like this, I don’t take it lightly. Reflexology isn’t just about feet.

It’s about creating space for your nervous system to exhale. It’s about helping your body remember how God designed it to function, with rhythm, balance, and the ability to restore.

So many moms carry stress quietly. You push through headaches, tension, poor sleep, overwhelm… and call it normal.

But just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s how you’re meant to live.

I’m always honored to walk alongside women who are ready to slow down, listen to their bodies, and invite peace back in.

If you’ve been craving that kind of support, this is your gentle reminder that you don’t have to carry it alone.

This specialty session is all about giving your body the reset it’s been craving.

We’ll start with a warm foot soak. You can choose a blend that addresses detox, stress relief, or something custom depending on what you need that day. It’s the perfect way to ease in and let your nervous system start to slow down.

From there, you’ll get a full reflexology session focused on releasing tension, improving circulation, and helping your whole body feel more balanced.

To finish the session, you get to choose a pain relief cream and massage oil to wrap it all up—leaving your feet feeling amazing and your whole body lighter.

If you’ve been feeling off or just need some extra care, this one’s for you.

Are you as OVER this gray, depressing “winter” as I am?

As a North Idaho native, the long winters don’t usually get me down. I love the beautiful, white snow.

I don’t like the endless gray skies, but I’ve learned to get outside to move my body and breathe in the fresh air through skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, even just walking the dog.

I mean, there’s no bad weather, just bad clothing, right???

But this “winter” is really throwing me. No snow down here, poor snow coverage for skiing for most of the season, and endless gray, gray, gray.

For the first time in maybe a decade, I think I have dealt with seasonal depression, so I have made an effort to hit the gym and upgrade my bodywork routine.

As I type though, the clouds have split and the sun is spilling in. It’s time to go worship the sun a bit with a crisp walk!

If the weather’s got you down, you have no energy, no drive and just feel blah, keep in mind that reflexology can be a great restart for the winter blues.

My space gives you an hour or so to really release any disappointment, fatigue, and the blues, and reflexology can help refill your cup, giving you better sleep, more energy, and a different outlook.
