Did you know that Sandpoint Reflexology offers a special hot wax treatment? ✨

My clients report that their hands & feet lose any soreness and inflammation after using these wax mittens and booties.

You can purchase them in my shop to use at home, or add them onto your own session with me! Your hands deserve to be pampered.

Many moms finally get a quiet moment at the end of the day… only to realize their mind is still running.

Even when the house is calm, the body can still be holding onto stress from earlier. The nervous system doesn’t always switch off the moment we climb into bed.

Reflexology focuses on areas of the feet that correspond with different systems in the body, including those connected with stress, breathing, and mental tension. Certain reflex areas are often associated with helping the body shift toward a more relaxed state, which is one reason people find reflexology so calming.

It’s one of the things I love most about this work. When the body is given space to relax, it often responds in ways we didn’t expect.

If you’ve ever wondered why reflexology can feel so deeply calming, these connections are a big part of the reason.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is creating a space that feels good to walk into.

Not just a place where you come for a session and leave, but a space that feels calm, cozy, and easy to be in.

I’ve put a lot of thought into making the studio feel that way, and I really love that my clients get to enjoy it.

Because yes, the session itself matters… but I also think the environment matters too.

The lighting, the comfort, the little details… all of it helps create a space where your body can settle down a bit.

And honestly, I just love getting to offer that.

Life can feel loud and full a lot of the time, so being able to create a space that feels peaceful and welcoming for other women is something that means a lot to me.

If you’ve been needing a little reset, I’d love to have you in! Book a session today at www.sandpointreflexology.com!

Isn’t it interesting how truly GREAT ideas or breakthroughs hit us when we are not consciously mulling over the issue? Inspiration rarely hits right when we need it to. It seems to always hit hard when our minds are at rest. It’s like our brilliance needs a moment of silence, solitude or rest to really break through all of the noise and clutter.

For me the best solitude to calm my mind is in nature walking or hiking, or on my paddleboard. My mind clears away the noise, making room for creativity, and ideas just start to flow! Nature and intentional powering down is so powerful to help our minds release the clutter.

There was a time in my life though, when I protected myself from thinking too much because it was too painful. Walks in nature were delightful and relaxing, but not inspiring. I wasn’t comfortable with my thoughts at the time, and couldn’t face the grief I was holding onto. My faith and prayer kept me holding on, but I needed more–my physical body needed to release the pain and fear.

That’s when I discovered reflexology. At my second session, something in my nervous system released and I was able to begin processing small bites of my grief.

Our feelings (grief, stress) directly affect our physical bodies, and vice versa. There’s a reason you may feel physically or emotionally stuck. Reflexology can help with that.

If you need a safe place to allow your nervous system to recover a bit, give me a call and we can discuss if reflexology is a good fit for you. You will be glad you did.

e of the questions I hear most after a session is:

“How can I make the benefits last longer?”

My answer always starts with this:

Reflexology may begin here in the studio, but the healing continues in how you care for yourself at home.

For me, that looks like making simple, intentional choices, especially in what I drink. I love making gentle, gut-supportive, and calming drinks that nourish both body and spirit.

Herbal teas, infused waters, and warm ginger-honey blends are some of my go-tos after sessions.

They aren’t fancy, but they help my nervous system stay regulated and my digestion supported, which only amplifies the work we’ve done together.

Curious what’s in my mug these days?

Comment or message me the word “drink” and I’ll send you a few of my favorite recipes. 🌿

Late March always makes me crave spring. This year, I bought a pot of daffodils before they bloomed so we could watch them open on our dinner table.

Over dinner, I asked my family how they saw God show up that day. Then, right before our eyes, one daffodil slowly opened its petals. A quiet, joyful reminder that God shows up in the small things.

It reminded me how much can happen when we simply slow down and pay attention. Even a few minutes of reflexology on your hands or feet can bring that same calm and awareness to your body.

If you want to learn a simple reflexology technique you can use in just a few minutes a day, I created a free guide for you.

It’s one of my favorite ways to calm the nervous system and reconnect when life feels full. Comment “RESET” to snag it ;)

Pop quiz for you today!

The bones in the feet make up what percentage of the total bones in the human body?

How many arches does each foot have?

And when do toenails actually grow faster?

I love asking questions like this because most of us walk around on these incredible, intricate structures every single day… and rarely stop to think about how amazing they really are.

Your feet aren’t just along for the ride. They’re carrying you through school drop-offs, long work days, grief, joy, grocery runs, and late-night pacing with babies.

They are beautifully designed and far more complex than most people realize.

Understanding how your feet are built helps you understand why reflexology can support so many different systems in the body. Everything is connected.

So tell me your guesses below, and no cheating with Google. We’ll use the honor system around here.

Whoever gets them all correct without googling will get a little surprise from me.

Let’s see who’s been paying attention in their sessions.

The other day I was leaning over the kitchen sink making dinner when my usually independent, cheerful girl quietly came up behind me and wrapped her skinny little arms around my waist.

She was okay.

She just needed a hug.

She needed to recenter. Refill her cup.

That’s co-regulation.

It’s when we “borrow” calm from someone safe.

Through touch. Presence. Eye contact. Shared quiet.

In families it can look like:

• A late-night chat with your teen
• Laying your head in your spouse’s lap
• Reading bedtime stories and saying prayers
• Sitting outside with a friend and not needing to talk

Co-regulation lowers stress hormones and reminds our nervous system: You are safe.

But not everyone has that built in.

Sometimes you’re widowed.

Sometimes you live alone.

Sometimes you’re touched out.

Sometimes you just need extra calm.

That’s where bodywork can help.

Reflexology was a huge part of my own co-regulation when I was newly widowed. It helped soothe my nervous system when everything felt overwhelming.

My space is designed to be calm and quiet; a place for you to power down, breathe, and let your body settle.

If you need help “borrowing calm,” I’d love to support you.

I’m curious… what does co-regulation look like for you?

One of the questions I’m asked most often is, “How often should I come in?”

And I always wish I could give a one-size-fits-all answer… but our bodies aren’t one-size-fits-all.

If you’re dealing with something in your health that is acute or intense, sometimes we meet more frequently for a short season. When your nervous system has been running on adrenaline for a long time, consistency helps it relearn what calm actually feels like.

And if you’re in a steadier rhythm, once-a-month maintenance can go a long way in preventing burnout before it builds.

I think so many moms wait until they are completely depleted before they ask for support. We push through. We power through.

But the Lord designed your body with rhythms.

Reflexology isn’t about indulgence. It’s about supporting the systems that carry you through every single day.

If you’re unsure what sessions would best support you in this season, I’m always happy to talk it through.

This reflexology at home kit includes Jericho Foot Balm, a reflexology foot roller and a foot and hand reflexology chart.

These are the same products I use during a reflexology session, and the foot roller is specifically designed to reach all of your reflexes.

(And the Jericho foot balm is a WONDERFUL product.) One of my clients applies this balm every night before bed, swearing that in addition to making her feet look pedi-worthy, it also puts her to sleep.

I love using this in client sessions because it helps ease inflammation and pain.

You can purchase this set at the link in my bio today!

Sometimes I wonder if I create chaos… because it feels familiar.

When things are calm…work steady, kids doing well, life relatively smooth…I almost get unsettled.

I mean, something must be about to drop, right?!

After living in long-term stress and fight-or-flight mode, calm can feel foreign. So I’ll start a huge project.

Overcommit. Create pressure.

And suddenly I’m back in high nervous energy.
I have to remind myself:

You don’t have to live in chaos.
You are safe.
Just breathe.

Sometimes that looks like a long walk and deep breaths.

Sometimes it’s Psalm 91:4.

Sometimes it’s bodywork.

If you find yourself creating buzz when your body really needs calm, reflexology can help your nervous system transition out of survival mode and into safety.

You don’t have to manufacture stress to feel in control.

I’ve been practicing aromatherapy for years, and it’s something I love to weave into many of my reflexology sessions here at Sandpoint Reflexology.

Essential oils aren’t a one-size-fits-all solution. Just like reflexology, they’re most effective when they’re thoughtfully chosen and tailored to your stress levels, season of life, and specific health concerns.

Whether we’re supporting better sleep, calming an overwhelmed nervous system, easing tension, or helping your body rebalance, aromatherapy can beautifully complement the work we’re doing through your feet.

I love seeing how the right scent can help your whole body exhale. Sometimes it’s subtle. Sometimes it’s profound.

Reach out and let’s talk about what your body has been needing.
