✨Instructor spotlight | JENNIFER FISTER ✨

Jennifer was born with scoliosis, and a love for dance, health and fitness. While at home with her fourth baby, her husband had found an old 80's video, "Callanetics," which claimed was good for back pain and joint issues. It was! She has not wanted to live without practicing Callanetics since.

While pregnant with her eighth baby, she earned her Callanetics Teaching Certification. Jennifer has taught occasionally while choosing children as her first career. Now that her youngest four out of nine are not so little, she's teaching Callanetics and dance/mobility as a new career.

Jennifer is a long time contra dancer of over 17 years and is currently learning Bellydance, Ballet, and Shuffle dance. Jennifer is a certified Callanetics Teacher, has been certified in Zumba and Zumba Gold, and has also taught Line Dancing. She recently joined ISSA and is a certified Nutrition Coach.

✨Instructor spotlight | MOLLY GENTRY ✨

Molly Gentry of Magpie Creative is an artist, teacher, and, according to many who view her art: weird. She has been a teacher of English, History, and Art. Being a teacher of art, she has had the opportunity to learn and teach all mediums.

Molly has always been a creator of something, starting with realistic graphite and charcoal portraits and moving to more loose approaches using watercolor and acrylics. Her newest passion has been for Creative Reuse with a love of repurposing old and forgotten things into interesting Collage and Assemblages. This creative reuse allows Molly to be brave with her art. She feels free to create whatever she desires without fear of ‘wasting’ money or materials.

Her motivation is two-fold: to show that real Art can be so many things and to encourage others to find their own creative voice.

Donation-based classes are a way for people who can’t afford a full membership or class pack to still participate, while contributing what they can.

Recently, we made the decision to add a $5 minimum donation for drop in students to these classes. Donation-based classes are still low-cost, community-accessible offerings—but it helps us cover the costs of keeping these classes running.

We also have scholarships for those that contributing anything would be a hardship for.

A gentle reminder: donation-based classes are also included in all class packs and memberships, so if you attend that way, you’ve already contributed.

Feel called to donate more? That is always welcomed, and every dollar goes directly toward sustaining donation-based classes and scholarships.

If you desire a membership with The Yellow Room, but it is simply not feasible for you right now, then we want to make you being a member with us possible.

LIVESTREAM | Saturday, Feb 28 • 10–11:30 AM
with Arleen Erland

Our nervous system plays a huge role in how we feel, think, and act—often before we’re even aware of it.

In this introductory session, you’ll learn how the autonomic nervous system influences emotions, behavior, and everyday challenges.

We’ll explore why things like anxiety, low motivation, exhaustion, emotional reactions, or feeling inconsistent aren’t personal flaws. They’re actually smart survival responses your body learned along the way. When you understand this, the nervous system starts to feel less like something working against you and more like something you can work with. From there, it becomes easier to rebuild a sense of choice, confidence, and trust in yourself.
