✨ The votes are in… and here’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! ✨
After a year of celebrating our outstanding 2025 Employee of the Month honorees, those dedicated team members were placed on the ballot for Employee of the Year. Thank you to everyone who participated in the voting and helped us recognize the individuals who make our community such a special place.
We are thrilled to announce our Employee of the Year — our incredible Life Enrichment Director! 🎉
With three years as Life Enrichment Assistant and now stepping into her role as Director, Heidi Pingry- Brokaw continues to bring heart, creativity, and dedication to everything she does.
What she loves most about her job? "Connecting with people and making it possible for our residents to do the things they enjoy." And it shows! She is especially proud of her ability to find ways to accommodate **all** residents so everyone can be included — no matter their limitations. That commitment to inclusion is something truly special.
Fun fact: She once went skydiving (tandem)!
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and loved ones, hiking, e-biking, watching movies, playing board games, tending to houseplants, bargain shopping, and going out to eat. (And if there’s dessert involved — even better! Anything sweet is her favorite!)
She loves movies that remind us life is precious — 'Awakenings' is a favorite — and enjoys music ranging from Contemporary Christian and 70s/80s hits to Piano Guys and Pentatonix. You might also catch her watching 'Star Trek' or 'The Good Place'.
What makes her smile at work?
"My residents and co-workers." 💛
And if she were stranded on a deserted island? She’d pick Moses — because if he could part the Red Sea, surely, he could find a way back to civilization… and if not, he’d have some incredible stories and survival skills to share!
