✨ March Instructor Spotlight: Ruby Courser✨
☀️ Morning Ritual
A warm drink and a quiet moment to set an intention for class, followed by music and some movement
☕️ Coffee, Tea, or Green Juice?
Hot water first, then coffee or tea (depending on my mood)
🥗 Post-Yoga Snack
I’m a breakfast girl: lately I’ve been loving a sweet potato/kale hash or GF pancakes with stewed apples on top
🎧 Current Song or playlist Obsession
My music taste is representative of the world around me, with an upcoming trip to New Orleans I find myself being draw to Funk and Jazz
🌲 Off the Mat
When I’m not giving bodywork (my other love outside of teaching) I do a lot of Self care, pottery, and spend time with the ones I love (preferably outside in the sunshine)
🪷 Something You Might Not Know
My hair has been bald, long, purple, red, blond, and everything in between. I even have a very large scalp tattoo.
💫 Three Words
Nurturing, Steady, Passionate
🧘🏼 What Brought Me to Yoga
Grief…I thought yoga would be an escape, but it turned out to be an incredible tool for processing
🎓 Training
I’ve been teaching for almost 2 years now after completing my 200hr. I feel blessed to have a background in bodywork that has allowed me to deepen my understanding of the physical and neurological benefits of yoga
💛 Favorite Pose
My favorite pose: Tadasana with closed eyes (mountain pose) even in its simplicity it’s a reminder of the power in a sturdy foundation. My love to hate: half pigeon
🌿 How I Want Students to Feel
Ideally: like they are floating on a cloud Realistically: Like they can move through a heavy world feeling a little lighter
🕊 Biggest Lesson
Magic can be found in both the ebbs and flows
