Today, we share an important update with our community.

Stein Hospice is now operating as Reserve Care, the new name for Hospice of the Western Reserve. This change reflects a unified identity across all locations while honoring the deep legacy of compassionate care that Stein Hospice has provided to patients and families for decades.

While the name Stein Hospice is retiring, the care remains the same. The same dedicated teams continue to provide expert hospice and advanced illness care, guided by the values of dignity, compassion and presence that have always defined this place.

Reserve Care brings together hospice, palliative care, pediatric services, advanced illness care and grief support under one trusted name—ensuring clarity, continuity and connection for the communities we serve.

A new year brings a lot of “what ifs.” What if we slowed down. What if we reached out. What if we showed up for someone else. Volunteering is one simple way to turn good intentions into something meaningful. Our volunteers don’t just give their time. They offer presence, compassion and reassurance to patients and families when it matters most. If you’ve been thinking about volunteering in 2026, this might be your sign.

The holidays do not pause the need for care and neither do we. Day or night, weekday or holiday, our teams are here 24/7 to answer calls, manage symptoms and support patients and those who love them.
