In order to understand hormone health it helps to know how hormones work!

Hormones work because they signal receptors to do the job the body needs them to do in order to function properly.

They signal;
- our genes
- the cells of our body
- and it's been know that nutrients determine how long hormones sit in these receptor sites.

So, if we have the right nutrients, hormones will sit in the receptor sites long enough to send optimal signals to its' target inside our cells.

However, those receptor sites can be blocked by things like environmental toxins (pollutants, plastics, heavy metals, xenoestrogens, etc) which are all around us and wreaking havoc on our hormones.

Hormone levels can be normal, but if you're still having symptoms related to hormonal issues, it could be that your receptor sites are blocked and not being signaled.

Our Thermography Day is approaching, April 16th (4 slots left!) and we'd like to shine a spotlight on a recent study published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health examining the relationship between dietary change and mortality following a diagnosis of invasive breast cancer. The study suggested that most women do not substantially change eating patterns following a diagnosis, but even worse clear and specific dietary guidelines for breast cancer patients/survivors is lacking.

Results from the study, incorporating deep therapeutic nutrition for breast cancer patients/survivors indicated that an increase in dietary quality following diagnosis could reduce the risk of all-cause mortality by 21% and breast cancer mortality by 15%.
