Martin "Gene" Enoch

Martin “Gene” Enoch, of Aurora, Illinois, passed away surrounded by the love of his family, leaving behind a legacy defined by generosity, strength, and deep devotion to those he cherished most.

Born on August 26, 1956, in Indiana to Gerald “Bud” and Betty Enoch, Gene grew into a man whose life was rooted in hard work, compassion, and an unwavering love for his family. Known as Geno to those who loved him, he was an entrepreneur at heart. He took great pride in his painting business, pouring his dedication and craftsmanship into every project. His work was more than a profession—it was a reflection of true pride in a job well done.

Gene found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. He loved fishing, tending to his garden, and spending time with animals. He could often be found watching nature shows, appreciating the beauty of the world around him, or planning his next visit to the beach—one of his favorite places to relax and reflect. He also treasured attending sporting events and celebrating life’s special occasions, always happiest when surrounded by those he loved.

He had an incredible gift for storytelling—one that brought people together and left a lasting impression on everyone who listened. Whether sharing memories from his younger years, tales from the job site, or humorous moments from everyday life, Gene had a way of capturing attention and making people feel like they were right there with him. His stories were filled with warmth, humor, and heart, often leaving those around him laughing, reflecting, or both. It was one of the many ways he connected with others and made them feel seen and valued.

Above all, Gene’s greatest joy was his family. He was an incredibly giving man who would share anything he had without hesitation. His love for his children and grandchildren was boundless, and he made every effort to be present in their lives—offering guidance, laughter, and unconditional support. During his courageous battle with cancer, Gene showed extraordinary strength and grace, cherishing every extra moment he was given with his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald “Bud” Enoch; his brother, Mark Enoch; his sisters-in-law, Dawn Enoch and Patti Enoch; his brother-in-law, Randy Rogers; and his nephew, Phillip Enoch.

Gene is survived by his loving partner, Christine Majchrzak; his mother, Betty Enoch; and his beloved children: Michelle (John) Stewart, Brook (Tim) Langkan, Brittany (Nick) Morenz, Savannah Enoch, Nicholas (Lauren) Majchrzak, and Andrew (Breanna) Enoch. He is also survived by his siblings: Chris Rogers, Matt Enoch, Monte Enoch, and Mike (Carol) Enoch.

He leaves behind a treasured legacy in his grandchildren: Millie, Maggie, and Ellie Stewart; Bailey, Bryce, Eme, and Naszir Langkan; Easton and Taylor Enoch; and Maddox and Vyleigh Morenz. He will also be deeply missed by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Gene will be remembered for his kind heart, his resilience, his unforgettable stories, and the way he made others feel valued and cared for. His presence brought comfort, his laughter brought joy, and his love will continue to live on in all who knew him.
