🚨❄️ Winter Storm Update #4 – February 23, 8:00 a.m. – Town of Sandwich❄️🚨
Good morning, Sandwich,
Our region is now experiencing the peak impacts of the storm, with high winds, heavy snowfall, and very low visibility. Conditions are expected to remain dangerous through the morning hours.
While we are hopeful that lower tides during peak impacts will help limit coastal flooding, some localized flooding is still possible, particularly in vulnerable areas.
🚨 Safety First
Please stay indoors and avoid travel unless absolutely necessary. Road conditions are hazardous, and visibility is significantly reduced.
🔌 Power Outages
As of 7:00 AM, we are aware of power loss in:
• Sandwich Village
• Parts of Forestdale
• Areas of East Sandwich
Please report outages directly to Eversource here:

Given the severity of the storm, please anticipate the potential for extended outages and plan accordingly.
🌲⚠️ Downed Trees and Wires
We are receiving a number of reports of trees down in Forestdale and the Service Road area — many involving wires.
What this means for our community:
• Wires may be live and extremely dangerous. Please stay far away and keep others clear.
• DPW cannot plow roads where wires are down.
