From the U.S. Army to the halls of Cape Cod Hospital, Marco Herrera has spent his life serving with pride and purpose.

A former tank commander turned lead project technician, Marco has been a mainstay of the hospital’s Environmental Services team for nearly three decades—overseeing critical spaces from the pharmacies and diagnostic departments to the main lobby.

His favorite mantra? “Look sharp, be sharp. How you present yourself reflects your work.”

We recently caught up with Marco before the start of a recent shift to learn more about his passions outside of work, what people might be surprised to learn about him and his biggest inspiration.
