An evening of purpose and partnership!
Last night’s event brought together local leaders, Olney Chamber of Commerce members, local business owners, and members of the Friends House community, including our board, team, and Seniors Association, for an inspiring evening of connection and collaboration.
Senator Craig Zucker shared remarks on the power of community engagement, followed by Tom Webb from the Sandy Spring Museum , who entertained guests with Sandy Spring trivia. Resident and Environment Committee member Susan Thomas presented on our new Wildlife Certification, reflecting our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship.
Gary Johnson, representing the Center for Applied Research in Dementia , announced that Friends House has earned Gold Status in the Montessori-Inspired Lifestyle® program, recognizing our continued dedication to creating supportive, person-centered environments. CEO Phil Burkholder spoke on behalf of Friends House, expressing gratitude for our partners and offering a look ahead at future plans for the community.
Guests also enjoyed an art display by renowned local artist Greg Mort, whose work added a beautiful, creative touch to the evening.
We’re grateful to all the Olney Chamber members and community partners who attended, and to Culinary Director Jason Rosewag and the Friends House Culinary Team for the exceptional food and presentation.
