An oncology patient living out of his car and battling metastatic brain cancer had lost over 100 pounds. Allie immediately took action, providing Ensure samples, connecting him with local food banks and hot meal programs, and offering practical nutrition tips for his situation. When she learned he often visited the cafeteria after radiation, Allie worked to get approval for meal passes so he could access nutritious food during treatment. Although Tony has faced challenges in his life, he's thrived with the support of others. One person who made an impact on his life was his ceramics professor, who believed in his unbreakable spirit and drive to succeed.

"I've been homeless twice. I was staying at the Salvation Army and going to TU at the same time. When I finished class, I'd come straight here to work. My instructor witnessed everything I was going through during those four years, and I believe that's why she opened her studio to me so I could master my craft. She's the one who inspired me to do what I do."

When he's not at work or the ceramic studio, Tony treasures the time he spends with his eight-year-old grandson, whom he's cared for since he was an infant. From cheering him on at soccer games to helping him with his homework, Tony is raising his grandson to hold the same values that he has carried through his own life.

"Outside of work, I'm usually with my grandkids. I am so glad that they're in my life and I get to teach them. I love helping my kids and helping my grandbabies as they grow up."
