Hillcrest Care Center Hillcrest is a community ICF/IID located in Sandy, Utah Hillcrest Care Center is a 43 bed residential facility conveniently located in Sandy, Utah.

Established in 1968, Hillcrest was one of the first homes to provide 24-hour care for people with special needs and prides itself on its clean, home-like atmosphere. Living areas are comfortable and residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms with pictures, décor, and furniture items that help to maintain a cozy and enjoyable environment. Additionally, Hillcrest offers a spacious courtyard, large lawn area, and gazebo. There are various activities sponsored by Hillcrest that family and friends are strongly encouraged to attend. Some activities include summer barbecues, a carnival, and an annual Thanksgiving celebration. Hillcrest provides transportation to and from multiple workshop settings in the Salt Lake Valley. School-age residents attend Jordan Valley School, one of the country’s top educational institutions for individuals with special needs. The friendly, caring staff members invite you to come experience all that Hillcrest Care Center has to offer.

As a Direct Care Worker your responsibilities would include:
Assisting the residents with adult daily living skills (i.e. eating, brushing teeth, bathing etc.)
Running and documenting programs designed to help the residents learn to be independent.
Ensuring the health and safety of residents.
Advocating for the resident's rights and quality of care.

As a Recreation Aide your responsibilities would include:

Running and documenting programs designed to help the residents learn to be independent.
Ensuring the health and safety of residents
Driving the bus and accompanying the residents on outings to the store, dinner etc.
Running in house activities such as karaoke, crafts, coloring etc
At times assisting the residents with adult daily living skills (i.e. eating, brushing teeth, bathing etc.)
Requirements:

Must be 21 and older
Weekends are REQUIRED although you wont have to work every single one.
Holidays are REQUIRED, but are worked in four hour intervals.
Food handlers permit will have to be obtained before your 90 day review
Background check will have to be obtained before your 90 day review
Drivers License is Required
