KSL recently wrote an article about the seriousness of seniors falling. Here are the tips they recommended for preventing falls:

1. Exercise regularly.
2. Risk assessment with your Doctor.
3. Review medications that cause dizziness or drowsiness.
4. Make sure to have your hearing and vision checked annually.
5. Declutter your home and remove hazards such as rugs.
6. Make sure your home is lighted appropriately.
7. Install grab bars by toilets and in showers.

Sego Lily Assisted Living is owned by John and Marina Rider.
This is their first assisted living facility but they come with great career experience. John has 30 years experience as a healthcare executive and a Masters of Healthcare Administration from Duke University. Marina has 30 years of accounting experience with 7 years in the senior living industry. They are excited to be a part of this growing industry and help their residents have great a place to call home in Sandy, Utah.
