About Us

Blue Bird Dentistry started in 2017, when Dr. Russell Bird purchased the long standing practice of Dr. Luis Contreras. The transition was a perfect match as the philosophies and skills of both doctors were very similar. His emphasis on surgery and sedation are a great match for the practice and he continues to offer advanced implant and surgical procedures to the Sandy area. Dr. Bird graduated with honors from the prestigious UNLV School of Dental medicine. He moved to Oregon with his family and practiced dentistry in the downtown Portland area for 9 years. Being from a small town in Idaho it was always his dream to practice in a country setting. Sedation dentistry is one of Dr. Bird’s passions as it helps him provide dental care to even the most fearful patients. At Blue Bird Dentistry we strive to provide the highest level of care to each of our patients both big and small through individualized treatment plans. Our commitment is to provide the high level of care that the town of Sandy has come to expect from our clinic. We are here to serve you and help you keep and maintain the smile of your dreams.
