Sharing for another Pet Peace of Mind partner based in Salem. Please spread the word to help these 3 precious dogs stay together.

These friendly, bonded boys have had their world turned upside down. Their special person has died, and none of his family or friends have the space to adopt them all together, the way he wanted them to stay. Ben (9 y.o. Boxer), Joey (9 y.o. Boston Terrier), and Benny (6 y.o. Boston Terrier) are loving and healthy. The youngest likes his zoomies sometimes, but in general they are a cuddly trio of couch hounds. If you or someone you know would be interested in meeting them and becoming their new favorite person, please message WVH here, email pets@wvh.org, or call 503.588.3600. Salem Dogs

The holidays can be a magical thing for many, but it can also be difficult for others. Whether you're missing someone that passed away or are missing connection - remember you are not alone.

Reach out to someone you think might need a call.

โ„๏ธ Winter can bring more than snow and storms โ€” it can bring added stress, isolation, and emotional strain.

At the Oregon Department of Emergency Management (OEM), we know disasters and severe weather donโ€™t just impact homes and roads โ€” they impact mental health, too.

Whether youโ€™re managing your own mental health, supporting a loved one with a mental or substance use disorder, or responding to emergencies in your community, taking care of yourself is part of preparedness.

๐Ÿ’™ Help is available year-round.
If you or someone you care about needs support, confidential mental health and substance use resources are available through SAMHSA:

Preparing for winter means caring for your whole well-being โ€” body, mind, and community.

Do you know a Veteran? Make sure they RSVP for our event and they will be officially honored. All are welcome to attend and thank our Veterans.

The Sandy Senior and Community Center, in partnership with Mt. Hood Hospice, will host a community Veterans Pinning Ceremony for all generations on November 14th at 2:00pm.

A Veterans Pinning Ceremony is a way to honor veterans and thank them for their service. The ceremony gives an opportunity for each veteran to stand and receive a pin and star (from a retired flag) in recognition of the branch and war they served in.

We welcome everyone to come and show their support. If you are a veteran please RSVP by calling us at 503-668-5569 so that we can ensure your recognition during the ceremony

Thank you to this years wonderful event sponsors: Maeco of Oregon, and Cascadia Village Senior Living by Cogir
