It is not very taxing to save a life. If you visit the donor center today, you will be here for approximately 40 minutes and you can save 3 lives. You can always answer the health history questions on the same day, before you get to the donor center, and save even more time. Right now, Utah hospitals are facing a critical shortage of blood and platelets- and patients don't have time to wait.

At ARUP Blood Services, we work side by side with University of Utah Hospital and Clinics and Huntsman Cancer Institute as the sole blood provider to make sure lifesaving blood products are available when patients need them most.

They are used every day by patients receiving treatment for cancer, trauma care, surgeries, and emergencies happening today.

Platelets expire in just 5 days.

ARUP Blood Services is a non-profit blood center that holds hundreds of blood drives in Utah in support of the thousands of patients needing blood each year at Huntsman Cancer Hospital, University of Utah Hospital and Clinics and Shriners Hospital for Children. ARUP Blood Services needs approximately 100 donors a day including 20 platelet donors a day to support these major Utah hospitals and Clinics. ARUP Blood Services has Donor Centers in Sandy (9786 S. 500 W.) and at Research Park (565 Komas Drive). We are the only blood services organization in Utah that keeps all their blood for local patients. Can you help us save lives in Utah?

ARUP Blood Services encourages all healthy individuals and sponsors of blood drives to schedule appointments and keep commitments to donate blood. Healthy eligible donors of all ages and ethnic groups are needed now more than ever as the blood supply must be constantly replenished.
