Our April First Friday event is going to be a great one. We are so excited to see our friends from Life Springs Restoration Center with a little change to our typical routine. In observance of the holiday this week, we will be celebrating First Friday on the second Friday of the month. Please join us April 10th for plenty of fun and laughter. Bring your friends and family; as always this is a free, family friendly event.

Well, it’s officially that time again. Happy Day Camp is back for its second year under Stevens Center’s leadership. Last year’s response and support meant so much to us, and we can’t wait to do it again this year. Let’s make this a June to remember!

This year we will be charging a minimal fee of $5 a week for the Explorers group and $10 a week for Adventurers. This helps cover activity costs, but we will never turn anyone away based on inability to pay. Please reach out and we will work with you to get things covered.

This month our inclusive playgroup is hitting the road on March 21st to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day at the Zoo, hosted by our friends at Broadway Zoological Park. Check out their page for info on admission prices, event hours and more information. We can’t wait to round up the Stevens Center Crew and have the best time with friends. We are planning on meeting up during the regular playgroup hours of 10 am - 12 pm. This month’s playgroup meetup is open to all ages and you are free to stay as long as you would like during event hours. Let’s support the Broadway Zoo and celebrate World Down Syndrome Day in true Stevens Center fashion-where everyone is recognized, included and celebrated!

We are proud supporters of Special Olympics Lee County and the amazing work they do for athletes and families in our community. Programs like this create opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build confidence, friendships, and life-long memories through sports and inclusive activities.
