The entire Advanced EyeCare team are excited to introduce the newest member of our eye care family — Dr. Neelam Patel!
Neelam Patel, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2010. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Saginaw Valley State University in 2004. She completed a residency and faculty position at The Eye Institute, specializing in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision. Dr. Patel focuses on ocular disease and pediatric eye care, with special interests in glaucoma, dry eye, retinal disease, and amblyopia. Her experience includes work in private practice and ophthalmology settings.
Dr. Patel was named one of America’s Top Optometrists in 2016 and received the Walmart Optometrist Excellence in Patient Care Award in 2023 for Market 217. She is fluent in three languages and is passionate about connecting with patients and providing high-quality eye care. Active in community service, she volunteers with organizations like AAPIO, Santram, and BAPS. In her free time, she enjoys reading, swimming, and ice-skating.
