Why Play Therapy Works for Kids (Ages 3-9) 🧡

Kids don't always have the words to express what they're feeling. That's where play therapy comes in.

Play is how children naturally communicate, process emotions, and work through challenges. In a safe, supportive environment, play therapy helps kids:

✔ Express feelings they can't put into words
✔ Build confidence and resilience
✔ Work through trauma, anxiety, or big life changes
✔ Develop healthy coping skills
✔ Feel heard and understood

Whether your child is struggling with a big transition, anxiety, grief, or just needs support, play therapy meets them where they are—through the language they know best: play.

At New Hope Counseling, our play therapy specialists create a warm, safe space where your child can heal and grow at their own pace.

Curious about play therapy? Let's talk. Call (940) 220-9288 or visit www.newhopeofsanger.com.

Quick Grounding Tip for Anxiety 🧡

When anxiety hits, try the 5-4-3-2-1 technique. It's simple, it works, and you can do it anywhere.

Name 5 things you can see
Name 4 things you can touch
Name 3 things you can hear
Name 2 things you can smell
Name 1 thing you can taste

This brings you back to the present moment and calms your nervous system. Give it a try the next time anxiety shows up.

You've got this. 💚
