In Memory of Raymond

In Memory of Raymond Raymond F. Alaniz passed away on Sunday, 8/3/14 after an 8 year battle with a rare cancer; DSRCT He packed a lot living into his short life.

This page is to honor the memory of my beloved son, Raymond Alaniz. Raymond was diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), which is an aggressive sarcoma cancer. He was treated extensively at Valley Children's Hospital in Central California. He also traveled for various treatments at Lucille Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford University and the University of San Francisco (UCSF). He received top rate care from many caring Oncologists, nursing teams, hospital staff, and social workers. Although cancer was a huge part of his life, it did not deter him from living on his own terms. He loved the ocean, he loved playing his guitar, driving his car, hanging out with his girlfriend, traveling, and being with his family. His memory lives on through us. We honor him by doing the things he would have loved to do. Until we meet again...we will remember with great love and gratitude, that he chose to be a part of our family.
