El acceso a Medi-Cal para los californianos indocumentados fue un logro alcanzado tras una extensa lucha, y lamentablemente llegará a su fin muy pronto. 🚨 UPDATE ON OUR 11/15 FOOD PANTRY - PLEASE READ! 🚨
With incliment weather on the horizon that may interfere with the safety of our Food Pantry participants and volunteers, we've made the difficult decision to reschedule tomorrow's pantry distribution until November 22.

Please stay tuned to our Instagram Stories. We'll be sharing resources from our partner organizations until the rescheduled date.

Word has been spreading about our Food Pantry and we're grateful! 📣 ❤️

In case we're new to your feed, we're Serve the People Community Health Center...and our Food Pantry is actually how we got started. We've been proudly serving families since 2008 and are honored to have be a resource for our community.

In these uncertain times, we're striving to meet the moment by going back to basics: Helping folks get healthy food.

At our very first Open House, we gave new patients and community members the opportunity to explore our service lines and meet our team - all in one place!

We want to continue helping our patients take charge of their health and reaffirm our commitment to making healthcare accessible to our community.

Cada octubre, empezamos a vernos rodeados de rosa en las tiendas, el trabajo y nuestros teléfonos. Concientizar sobre el cáncer de mama es crucial, por eso estamos tan agradecidos con personas que promueven la equidad en salud como Yvette.

Como Coordinadora de Atención de Serve the People, Yvette trabaja incansablemente para apoyar a las pacientes en sus caminos hacia una vida saludable. Le apasiona liderar eventos con los Servicios de Mamografía Móvil de Alinea Medical Imaging. Queremos compartir por qué es importante para ella y para nosotros como organización impulsada por la comunidad latina.

La detección temprana es importante porque, si bien las mujeres hispanas y latinas tienen menos probabilidades que otros grupos de desarrollar cáncer de mama, tienen más probabilidades de ser diagnosticadas a una edad más temprana y con formas más agresivas de la enfermedad.
