It’s National Breastfeeding Month and I’ve been thinking about the most rad things that BreastfeedLA has done this year. Next week we have a Know Your Rights two day advocacy training in LA and thanks to other rad folks like Tanya Reyes, we were able to coordinate pregnant and parenting LAUSD students to be bussed to the training. And one former student who will be presenting on a panel who had to fight for her right to lactation accommodations at In-N-Out. We have done a lot of rad stuff this year but having these students at this training is literally in my top five highlights of the year. We provided scholarships for all of these students to attend even though we did not have funding for it because we know how important it is that they receive this education.
