Many people diagnosed with POTS or dysautonomia experience symptoms like dizziness, weakness, and trouble regulating body temperature. These labels often describe what you’re feeling rather than explaining why it’s happening. POTS literally refers to posture, standing, and an increased heart rate. This isnot the root cause.
Dysautonomia simply means the autonomic nervous system isn’t regulating properly. When the body is stuck in a stress response, the sympathetic nervous system can stay overactive or, in some cases, underactive.
One contributor that’s often overlooked is how the brainstem and nervous system interact with the spine, especially the neck. By properly assessing alignment and nervous system function, some people may find relief by addressing the underlying dysfunction rather than just managing symptoms.
