Spring is a season of growth, renewal, and new beginnings. 🌱

Just like flowers need care, sunlight, and time to bloom, children need support, understanding, and safe spaces to grow emotionally and mentally.

At Child Guidance Center, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive. By supporting children’s mental health today, we help plant the seeds for stronger, healthier futures tomorrow.

This spring let’s continue nurturing the minds and hearts of the children in our community because when children feel supported, they can truly bloom. 🌼💚

Mental health is a journey.
Some days are lighter than others.
Some days require more strength than you thought you had.

But every step you take toward healing is worth it.

Keep going. Your peace is on the other side of persistence. 💚

There is strength in authenticity. When we allow ourselves the freedom to show up as we truly are, without apology, without pretending, we create space for healing, connection, and growth.

Mental health isn’t about perfection. It’s about self-acceptance, self-awareness, and the courage to live in alignment with who you really are.

Today, give yourself permission to be fully, unapologetically you. Your truth is not a weakness; it’s a powerful foundation for well-being. 💚

Globally, it is estimated that one out of seven adolescents between the ages of 10 and 19 years old experience mental health conditions and yet they go largely untreated because they go unrecognized. According to the World Health Organization, mental health conditions can cause adolescents to become vulnerable to many different things, such as educational difficulties, social exclusion, discrimination, and much more.

This World Teen Mental Wellness Day, we reemphasize, no teen should have to navigate their mental health alone, nor should they be made to feel ashamed for dealing with mental health conditions. At Child Guidance Center, we help teens navigate their mental health, here they won't have to do it alone.

Let’s talk about eating disorder myths and the facts behind them. 💬💚

Eating disorders are serious mental illnesses, not lifestyle choices or simply about food or weight. They affect people of all genders, ages, body sizes, and backgrounds, and are rooted in complex biological, psychological, and social factors, and not vanity or willpower.

Common myths like “only very thin people have eating disorders” or “they only impact women and teens” can delay diagnosis and keep people from seeking help.

Eating disorders can be deadly, but recovery is possible with the right support. By spreading the facts and not stereotypes, we break down stigma and make it easier for people to get support. For more information check out Eating Disorder Facts & Myths.

If you or someone you care about is struggling, you’re not alone, help is available. ✨

At Child Guidance Center, we believe healing doesn’t require perfection. Growth often begins in the places where life feels hardest, where support, compassion, and care can make room for hope.

If you’re navigating a tough season, know this: even the cracks can let the light in. 💛

Happy National Love Your Pet Day! 🐾💙
Today we’re giving extra love to the furry (and finned, feathered, or scaled!) friends of our team at Child Guidance Center. Our pets bring comfort, joy, and a whole lot of smiles. They remind us how powerful connection and unconditional love can be for our mental health.

CGC staff and students have shared their pets with you... show them your pet today and show your pet some love today in the comments! 🐶🐱

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Dating violence is more common than people think, especially among teens & young adults. Child Guidance Center is shining a light on the importance of healthy, respectful relationships for teens. Dating violence can take many forms, emotional, physical, digital, or verbal, and too often, it goes unnoticed or unspoken.

Through prevention, education, and compassionate mental health support, Child Guidance Center works to help teens build confidence, recognize red flags, and feel empowered to seek help when something doesn’t feel right. Every teen deserves relationships rooted in trust, safety, and respect.

Let’s keep the conversation going, for awareness, for prevention, and for the well-being of our youth. 💜

Healing doesn’t happen all at once.
It starts with safety.
It grows with trust.
And it’s strengthened through care, play, and time.
At Child Guidance Center, we help families build the foundations their children need to grow; at their own pace, in a space made for them. 🧸
