End Fake Clinics

End Fake Clinics Spring 2014: We meet on Wednesdays at 6:00pm in the Women's Center Conference Room in the SRB.

We are current and former students of the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) who are concerned about the threats Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPCs) pose to women’s reproductive freedom. Many of us have experienced first-hand the deceptive tactics that CPCs employ. In 2011, we went into centers in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties in Southern California. We were shocked by the false information we were told, the ways we were shamed, and the sheer amount of unprofessionalism we encountered. We have created this website to share the stories of our visits and to educate the public about how CPCs target, manipulate, misinform, and
disservice women facing unplanned pregnancies.

Please help us by reporting this photo. It was unknowingly taken of a counter-protester and is now being shared on Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust's Facebook. They are the group that has been displaying disturbing and misleading imagery and distributing anti-abortion lies on campus.

"Adoption is not easy." - Pro-abortion protester. "Doing the right thing is always easy." Said no one ever.

EFC is meeting right now in the Women's Center Conference Room in the SRB! We will be here until 8, come stop by!

Hello friends! EFC is having an official meeting this evening at 6:00 pm. We will meet outside the front door of the SRB and then find a space inside.

Tonight we have a special activity planned - we will be dissecting and discussing hard copies of anti-abortion literature in order to understand the tactics and untruths these kinds of media spread. (Also to make a poster to use for future tabling!)

Please join us! This meeting will be a great introduction for interested prospective members. Hope to see you there :)

We tabled today in support of comprehensive reproductive health info, and against groups that seek to shame those who have had or have considered having abortions with graphic and misleading images and lies.

03/11/2014

Hello friends of EFC! The same group that came to campus today and last week with graphic and misleading posters is coming again tomorrow. But we will also be there tomorrow with posters, stickers, and buttons!

Please join us in grabbing a sign and counter-protesting from 11 AM - 3 PM in the Arbor, or just stop by to say hi. We believe it's important to show that UCSB does not support the shaming tactics of groups like the one that came today. We welcome your support in any way you may be able to offer!

Additionally, please share this post in any UCSB orgs you may be a part of, or on your own timeline if you feel comfortable. We want to make a strong showing tomorrow!
