Erik S. Wipf, DDS, Inc. High Tech Dentistry, Hometown Care By 1937, the Wipf family had settled down in Santa Barbara, California.

With his family rooted deeply in Southern California, Dr. Erik Wipf is extremely proud to have the opportunity to serve the communities that have been a part of his families’ lives for several generations. Dr. Vaughn Wipf attended UCSB as an undergraduate and played for the UCSB baseball team. Upon graduating from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1964, he served in Vietnam for the United States Air Force as a general dentist and received the Bronze Star for meritorious service. By 1968, Dr. Wipf, decided it was time to return to Santa Barbara, open his dental practice, and build a family with his wife, Deanna. Over the next 45 years, Dr. Vaughn’s love of dentistry and family saw both his practice and family grow, and in 1996 his son, Erik, joined the family business. The Wipf family’s long-serving commitment to Santa Barbara and the neighboring communities has helped to establish this dental practice as a premier office in Santa Barbara. While he retired in 2012, Dr. Vaughn Wipf is still a fixture in the community, active with the Good Shepard Lutheran Church and with his 48 years of active practice in dentistry, he is an invaluable source of information for both doctors. Dr. Erik credits his father for mentoring him during the time they shared the office. Both Dr. Erik and Dr. Mann are excited to welcome you to their office so that you can see firsthand, the excellence that has defined the practice for over 45 years.

Please welcome our new associate, Dr. Maria! Dr. Maria grew up in Pacific Grove, California where she was heavily involved with her church, community, and Sicilian culture. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara which is where she developed a love for the Santa Barbara area. Following her bachelor’s, she pursued her master’s degree in Global Medicine at the University of Southern California to study public health and a health adjacent curriculum on a global perspective. She then attended dental school at the University of Southern California and practiced dentistry in the Los Angeles area. Dedicated to service both within the community and abroad, she has gone on multiple dental mission trips including to Ecuador, Panama, and the Philippines.

Dr. Maria has recently moved back to the Santa Barbara area to set roots down within the community with her husband, Denton. She enjoys fishing, scuba diving, skiing, snowboarding, any and all sports, and hiking with their rescue dog, Hank.

We are excited to announce that the free dental clinic in Santiago Naranjas, Oaxaca, Mexico will begin serving the community in October of this year!! Dr. Wipf has been working diligently for years (along with his church) to make this clinic a reality and we’re so pleased to share that Dr. Wipf and some of our office staff will make a trip down in October to deliver care for the first time. Any support/donations are greatly appreciated, please reach out to our office directly if you have any questions or would like to help in any capacity. All donations will go directly towards purchasing necessary supplies in Oaxaca. The page link is below for additional info!
