The heart of this method is simple yet profound: using intention, energy, our hands, and our heart to facilitate healing.

On a day dedicated to love, we invite you to explore self-love and shared healing. This workshop places a strong emphasis on cultivating and managing “Life Energy” (Qi). Whether you come with a romantic partner, a friend, or on your own, you will learn practical tools to restore balance to the body and mind.

💗 Enhanced Embodiment Series: KANNA + Mashing 💗
Friday, Feb. 13 @ 7 pm
with Luca Cupery

Learn about and experience the gentle effects of Kanna, a heart-opening and mood-boosting South African succulent -AND- share simple bodywork with a friend or partner. Luca will share a little bit of information about Kanna and will transition into a simple ritual so that everyone in the circle can try some.

We will then shift into a mashing session. Mashing (barefoot-massage) creates deep, lasting, and relaxing effects in your body by compressing muscles and connective tissues with the strong pressure and broad surface area of the feet– and it's easy to learn!

🐍 Embodying the Goddess 🐍
Sunday, Feb. 15 @ 2:30 pm
with Cynthia Abulafia & Lara Sanderson

We are very excited and honored to welcome Cynthia's book, Embodying the Goddess, to the book table at Yoga Soup.

Cynthia has been teaching at Yoga Soup for 19 years, bringing her inspired curiosity and reverence for the wholeness of the spiritual path to our community. She is author, educator, and yoga therapist committed to giving language to the divine feminine and restoring the experience of embodiment as the heart of spiritual practice. A longtime student and teacher of non-duality, she guides people through kundalini awakenings and spiritual emergence with grounded tools rooted in embodiment, breath, and the context of sacred texts and traditions.

In this event, co-facilitated with Lara Sanderson, we will explore the Goddess, the role of the divine feminine, and how practice can give us a direct and lived experience of this Goddess path.

This workshop will include conversation, breathwork, and meditation. You'll come away with a different way to approach meditation, embodiment, and breathwork, and with a much more complete understanding of "Who is the Goddess?"

Lara’s book, Mātrikā’s Muse: A Journey to Awakening Through the Senses, also just released, takes us on a divine journey that reveals the deep pulse of reality.

Please join us for this special event 🐍✨

Join Govind Das in the uplifting and heart opening practice of Kirtan. Kirtan is an ancient bhakti yoga practice using mantra and music as an expression of devotion and prayer. The literal translation of kirtan is "to praise.” Kirtan is described as a "jewel of a spiritual practice" because of its joyful, open-hearted, meditative, and communal feeling. Come sing, dance, and enjoy spiritual community. For the new people to kirtan/chanting, just bring yourself, no special clothes or yoga mat needed. "Chant and Be Happy!”

💜 Embracing Life’s Invitation 💜
Learning to live fully in the presence of death, aging, and change
Tuesday, Feb. 10
with Carley Hacuk

“Don’t Wait” is not about urgency or productivity. It’s about dropping the fantasy of later—later health, later energy, later permission.

Embracing Life’s Invitation is a contemplative and experiential workshop grounded in the invitation of Don’t Wait — not as urgency, productivity, or self-improvement, but as a gentle and honest practice of telling the truth about time, change, and what genuinely nourishes us now.

“Don’t wait” here does not mean do more. It means listen more closely. It means noticing where we’ve been postponing life — our vitality, our truth, our rest, our alignment — in the hope that later will feel easier, clearer, or more permissible.

This workshop is rooted in Carley’s immersive study with Frank Ostaseski through his One Year to Live course, her participation in retreats on conscious dying, and her long-standing Buddhist practice — particularly the Five Recollections, which point directly to impermanence, embodiment, and freedom.

🤣 Laughing Yoga 🤣
Next Wednesday, Feb. 4
with Alex Wyndham

Come laugh with us!

In laughing yoga, we laugh together and guide our mind to a state of joy. In body yoga we move our bodies into a series of postures to align our physical self, in laughing yoga we assume a series of mental postures to align our mind to a state of levity, happiness and positivity. This class guides us through a series of interactive laughing exercises designed to lighten your mood.

Our Story

Yoga Soup is a fluid, organic idea that is constantly re-shaping itself. As it grows it will no doubt assume different forms but it’s hard to imagine its intention much changing: to provide a safe, vibrant, serious and light-hearted space for self-observation and transformation to occur.
