❕PLEASE BREATHE ❕

2 breathwork offerings happening this Saturday at Yoga Soup:

✨ Transformational Breathwork with Alysa Osvog @ 3 PM
Sessions begin with grounding practices and gentle breath awareness to calm the nervous system. Participants are then guided into a cyclical, three-part breathing pattern supported by curated music and somatic cues. Each session concludes with integration, reflection, and rest, allowing the body and mind to fully absorb the transformational experience.

✨ Ecstatic Breathing with Eddie Ellner @ 7 PM
A few minutes of gentle yoga followed by an hour of breathing. The process itself could not be simpler: one lies on their back and breathes to a selection of music designed to accelerate and amplify the breath. This induces what can most accurately be called a non-ordinary state of consciousness. From that point on many claims are made but the experience itself will provide its own meaning and insight.

🐬🤣 Laughing Yoga 🤣🐬
Wednesday, March 4
with Alex Wyndham

Come laugh with us!
In laughing yoga, we laugh together and guide our mind to a state of joy. In body yoga we move our bodies into a series of postures to align our physical self, in laughing yoga we assume a series of mental postures to align our mind to a state of levity, happiness and positivity. This class guides us through a series of interactive laughing exercises designed to lighten your mood.

We begin with light stretches combined with laughter to expand the lungs and prepare our body and mind for the laughing exercises. Then we practice a series of laughing exercises until the whole room is filled with laughter and our bellies hurt from laughing. We finish with a laughing meditation to integrate laughter into our daily life as we return to the world.

🧡 Somatic Release Breathwork 🧡
Saturday, Feb. 28 @ 3 pm
with Regina Powers

Somatic Release Breathwork (SRB) utilizes “conscious connected breath" - an intentional breathing technique that involves a continuous and circular pattern of inhalation and exhalation without pauses between the two. We begin by lying down or finding a comfortable seated position to enhance relaxation. The emphasis is on deep, rhythmic breathing, where each inhalation flows seamlessly into the next exhalation. The aim of no pauses between breaths is to create a sense of flow and connection. Breathers are encouraged to maintain focus on their breath, allowing thoughts and emotions to surface naturally.

🐬 BONUS Laughing Yoga 🐬
Tuesday, Feb. 24 @ 7 pm
with Alex Wyndham

In laughing yoga, we laugh together and guide our mind to a state of joy. In body yoga we move our bodies into a series of postures to align our physical self, in laughing yoga we assume a series of mental postures to align our mind to a state of levity, happiness and positivity. This class guides us through a series of interactive laughing exercises designed to lighten your mood.

Then we practice a series of laughing exercises until the whole room is filled with laughter and our bellies hurt from laughing. We finish with a laughing meditation to integrate laughter into our daily life as we return to the world.

Laughing floods the body and mind with dopamine and endorphins which elevates the mind to a euphoric and happy state. Laughter has been shown to lower cortisol levels, decrease stress and anxiety, improve your immune system and stimulate your heart and lungs. Walk in the world with laughter and a brighter spark in your eyes.

Our Story

Yoga Soup is a fluid, organic idea that is constantly re-shaping itself. As it grows it will no doubt assume different forms but it’s hard to imagine its intention much changing: to provide a safe, vibrant, serious and light-hearted space for self-observation and transformation to occur.
