Can you use vaginal estrogen with other forms of estrogen?

Yes — and Sophie, NP, breaks down why.

Many patients use a systemic estrogen (like a patch) and vaginal estrogen at the same time. Va**nal estrogen works locally and does not significantly affect blood estrogen levels, which is why it’s considered safe to use alongside patches or other transdermal forms.
