Pilates is for EVERYONE! Our clientele ranges in age and ability. You can be post surgery, avoiding surgery, or just trying to remain strong, flexible and coordinated as you age. I came to Pilates as a professional ballet dancer to increase my core strength, support my flexibility and work out inequalities in each side of my body. I gained so much more! Pilates is incredibly important for dancers. When dancers train in the dance studio, we have so many things we are working on to perfect technique, musicality, choreography, style, partnering, etc... At Pilates, one can slow down and focus on form and alignment, and find those areas that need attention. My whole experience as a dancer changed for the better when I started Pilates with Astrid at DeWild Studio! That was 24 years ago and I am so blessed to get to share Pilates with all of our clients, and have a special love of sharing with dancers! And same would go for gymnasts, aerial artists, athletes, musicians.... Come see how the method, the machines and our staff can help change your body and your life! - Nicole Comella

Look at Astrid in the Montecito Journal! She was asked how she is handling things with so much up in the air! Always positive, always inspiring, always willing to pivot and adjust! They didn’t include her statement “and Keep Moving!” We believe that moving is good for the body, mind and soul! Strengthening , lengthening, balancing the body with thoughtful, safe exercises using breath, control, alignment, imagination, coordination and resistance (to name a few) are all part of a healthy and effective program like ours at DeWild! When you can’t come in to the studio, we are here to guide you in at home practices, and park class and we encourage all to get outside as you can! And wear your mask!
