Maravilla got out and about this week to enjoy the absolutely wonderful weather! We had the best time soaking up the sun, and even spent an afternoon flying a kite just like kids again. It is such a great reminder that yes, we can do some pretty great things if we are willing to try! 🏖️☀️

Myrna says humor has always been part of how she sees the world, a gift she traces back to her dad. 💙

As a teenager, he once skipped school to work as an usher so he could watch the Marx Brothers perform live, earning himself a long stint of detention but a lifetime of stories. His “marvelous sense of humor” kept Myrna and her mother laughing, and now, she loves sharing that same lighthearted spirit with everyone around her!

We brought the magic of Broadway right to Maravilla's Clubhouse! 🎤

Our residents were treated to a stunning "Best of Broadway" evening featuring grand pianist Renee Hamaty, soprano Chelsea Chaves, and baritone Ben Higgens. We were completely blown away by the young singers and their beautiful renditions of classic showtunes!

Linda’s favorite memories are the simple ones, back when her husband was still here.

Even with Parkinson’s, they kept their routine, three walks a day. She talks about him with so much gratitude, and she remembers how he would say it out loud all the time, how lucky they were. ❤️

Who needs a treadmill when you have Santa Barbara? ☀️🌊

We head out weekly to hike the beautiful trails around town, and it is always a highlight for us. Great exercise and the best views. Comment below if you want to join us next time!

Bob and Cassie’s favorite memory takes you straight to Lake Louise, miles into a hike, hungry, and hoping for…anything!

Then they stumbled on a little chalet tucked out in the middle of nowhere, and the smell of muffins hit them before they even got to the door. Then, they ended up with the best kind of lunch, exactly what they needed. Cassie called it a gift from God! 🗻❤️

There is something so magical that happens when you bring different generations together. We love our "Art from the Heart" sessions with instructor Karen Putnam, because they bridge the gap between the young and the young at heart!

Watching senior residents and children wave these colorful fans together reminds us how important these connections are for everyone's spirit. It brings so much energy and joy into the room! 🌈 ❤️

Linda’s love story spans 52 years, and you can hear the respect in her voice when she talks about her husband.

He was a band leader, played the trumpet, and worked at Disney. Linda says he carried a quiet strength that still sticks with her. When we asked what makes a marriage last, she didn’t overcomplicate it: be patient, really listen, and choose someone who shares your values.

And her favorite way to describe him? “As honest as Abe Lincoln.” 🎺❤️
