📣 Are you an artist with a reproductive health experience to share? Do you have something to say about the state of reproductive freedom in the US? We have a new project to highlight local creatives: Our Bodies, Our Stories: Reproductive Freedom in Reflection.

This will be a space for artists to process and reflect on the current landscape of reproductive health, rights, and justice through art, creation, storytelling, and performance. All are welcome to apply! 🎨

Those with live performance submissions are required (and others are encouraged!) to attend our upcoming virtual Storytellers Workshop on Wednesday, April 29 to learn more about the showcase and how to craft and share your story.

Not an artist but want to support? Become a sponsor or purchase a ticket to the Our Bodies, Our Stories art showcase in Santa Barbara on Friday, July 17 where we'll display all the pieces.

🔗 Visit https://bit.ly/ppccc-ourbodies for submission guidelines, workshop and showcase RSVPs, and more info about the program.

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) often don't show any symptoms — so the only way to know your status for sure is to get tested. 🧪

Now getting tested at Planned Parenthood is easier than ever. We offer rapid testing at all six health centers for results ASAP.

Thanks to everyone who joined our I’m For Community Care events last weekend! We had a great time learning about community resources across the Central Coast and ways we can support our neighbors. Huge shoutout to anyone who dropped off donations for Poder Popular and Colectivo Mariposa!🥫🍚 🫘

Couldn’t make it? You can still give grocery, diaper, and hygiene donations directly to these local organizations! Check out their pages for more info.

Congrats to Planned Parenthood Generation Action at UCSB on being a recipient of The Fund for Santa Barbara's Youth Making Change Grant last month!

💙 Youth Making Change is a teen-led grant-making program that provides young people with the opportunity to engage directly in organized philanthropy. The two YMC Boards — one in Santa Maria and one in Santa Barbara — are led by teens, ages 13-19 and give out $15,000 per year in grants to youth-led projects that impact young people in Santa Barbara County.

We had an incredible time at Power & Progress earlier this month, celebrating our work in Ventura County with y'all and looking to the road ahead.

The funds raised will help provide equitable reproductive health care, comprehensive s*xual health education, and essential services for folks across the region.

We're proud to have maintained all our services, kept our doors open, and not turned away a single patient since last year's "defund" — and, in fact, we're providing more patient visits than this time last year. Community support at events like Power & Progress helps make this possible.

Final shoutouts to the Spanish Hills Club for hosting us, photographer Hailey Carlson, our generous silent auction donors, and our hard-working event committee for all their efforts to make this event a huge success! 💙
