Ending the Year with Hope and Love! 🍦

Haas’s Fine Ice Cream — Proudly Serving McConnell’s — is hosting a special weekend fundraiser benefiting the Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) of Santa Barbara on December 26, 27 & 28, 2026!

✨ For this weekend only, 10% of all sales will go directly to the BCRC.

Join us for three days of “Scoops For Hope” in support of an organization dedicated to empowering women and their families as they navigate breast cancer. The BCRC is an independent, non-medical support service agency that partners with a broad network of cancer care providers to help women access vital resources, make informed decisions, and find the community and care they need to move forward. Their work creates a space for learning, connection, and hope, far beyond treatment navigation.

The BCRC is deeply grateful and honored to be the beneficiary of the Santa Barbara Police Officers Association, Pink Patch Project, a special campaign dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer support in our community. đź’–

Originally launched in 2013 as part of a worldwide breast cancer awareness campaign, the Pink Patch Project celebrated its 12th anniversary in October 2025, marking over a decade of vital impact. Santa Barbara Police Officers Association's participation ensures that 100% of funds raised through their Pink Patch sales directly benefit our local community through the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Santa Barbara, supporting local individuals and families affected by breast cancer.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Santa Barbara Police Officers Association for their generosity, partnership, and continued commitment to our local community.

YOGA WITH INTENTION – EVERY THURSDAY AT 9:00AM
Every Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Teacher: Christiane Brems, PhD, ABPP, ERYT500, C-IAYT

The Breast Cancer Resource Center’s Yoga with Intention is a yoga series developed specifically for individuals dealing with breast cancer whether in treatment, recovery, or post-treatment. Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. If you experience any pain or difficulty with these exercises, stop and consult your healthcare provider. Each session lasts 60 minutes and includes opening centering, breathing practices, gentle movement, and meditation or guided imagery. Each session ends with a period of stillness, an opportunity to absorb the benefits of the practice before returning to daily activities. All practices are designed to support many aspects of recovery from breast cancer, with one aspect receiving special emphasis each month.

Please join us in celebrating and honoring our BCRC 2025 Volunteer award recipients Maria Marotti and Tiffini Lopez.

Volunteers have been the beating heart of BCRC from the beginning. The center would not exist without the remarkable individuals who have given their time, compassion, personal experience, and talents for the benefit of others. Each year, BCRC honors volunteers who have gone above and beyond in supporting our clients and who demonstrate extraordinary commitment to our mission.

This year at the annual BCRC Volunteer appreciation celebration, we had the opportunity to gather together and honor two dedicated volunteers.

The Dorothy Shea Award is the highest honor given by the BCRC, recognizing a volunteer who exemplifies Dorothy’s spirit and lifelong commitment to serving others. Maria Marotti, dedicated volunteer and meditation facilitator received the 2025 Dorothy Shea Award. Maria has been a Reiki practitioner for more than 20 years and has led our meditation group for over 18.

The Judy Blanco Volunteer of Year Award was created in honor of BCRC’s very first volunteer. In 2025, BCRC is proud to present the Judy Blanco Volunteer of the Year Award to Tiffini Lopez. Tiffini is a dedicated community volunteer whose creativity, reliability, and wholehearted commitment to service have made her an invaluable member of the Breast Cancer Resource Center.

Reflexology - In person & by appointment only
First and Third Friday of each month, 10:00am - 12:00pm

The Breast Cancer Resource Center is pleased to offer monthly reflexology sessions by appointment in a private, comfortable setting.

Reflexology is a treatment that applies hand pressure to specific areas of the hands and/or feet to invigorate and balance the flow of energy throughout the body. Practitioners believe that specific reflex points are linked to various organs and parts of the body. Thus, when gently manipulated, it can affect the organ or body by stimulating circulation and reviving good health to promote recovery.

At the BCRC, reflexologists apply pressure to selected points while clients lay, fully clothes, on a massage table listening to soothing music. Reflexology is free to BCRC clients. Please email programs@bcrcsb.org or call the BCRC at (805) 569 9693 to schedule an appointment.
