Reflexology - In person & by appointment only
First and Third Friday of each month, 10:00am - 12:00pm

The Breast Cancer Resource Center is pleased to offer monthly reflexology sessions by appointment in a private, comfortable setting.

Reflexology is a treatment that applies hand pressure to specific areas of the hands and/or feet to invigorate and balance the flow of energy throughout the body. Practitioners believe that specific reflex points are linked to various organs and parts of the body. Thus, when gently manipulated, it can affect the organ or body by stimulating circulation and reviving good health to promote recovery.

At the BCRC, reflexologists apply pressure to selected points while clients lay, fully clothes, on a massage table listening to soothing music. Reflexology is free to BCRC clients. Please email programs@bcrcsb.org or call the BCRC at (805) 569 9693 to schedule an appointment.

YOGA WITH INTENTION – EVERY THURSDAY AT 9:00AM
Every Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
Teacher: Christiane Brems, PhD, ABPP, ERYT500, C-IAYT

The Breast Cancer Resource Center’s Yoga with Intention is a yoga series developed specifically for individuals dealing with breast cancer whether in treatment, recovery, or post-treatment. Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. If you experience any pain or difficulty with these exercises, stop and consult your healthcare provider. Each session lasts 60 minutes and includes opening centering, breathing practices, gentle movement, and meditation or guided imagery. Each session ends with a period of stillness, an opportunity to absorb the benefits of the practice before returning to daily activities. All practices are designed to support many aspects of recovery from breast cancer, with one aspect receiving special emphasis each month.
