I’ve been working on and off on my ’61 Jeep FC-170, lovingly known as Swampy, for the past two years, and today she finally moved under her own power for the first time in at least 12 years! 🔧🔥

When I got her, she wasn’t even running. Since then: full engine service, rebuilt transmission, transfer case, and overdrive, new driveshafts, serviced differentials, rebuilt brakes, and a completely new cooling system… plus a few other odds and ends along the way.

The brakes still need some love, so I’m not taking her too far just yet, but man, what a fun Sunday! 😎

know that one piece of scrap aluminum you refuse to throw away?
Finally earned its keep. 😅

Made a standoff bracket for the Multitool mount on the M715 today, fits perfectly. And of course, the trusty Motley Jeep Tool Bag was close by, looks like I’ll be adding one to this rig.

Made a standoff bracket for the Multitool Mount on the M715 today, fits perfectly. And of course, the trusty Jeep Tool Bag was close by, looks like I’ll be adding another one just to this rig.
