For self care Sunday it’s ok to take time to heal by resting and relaxing. No pressure to do just one thing, could be many things or even just trying to think about what self care could be. 💜🌺🍍

Yesterday, January 12 was national quitters day. A day recognized for 80% of people giving up on their resolutions.

💜

If this feels familiar to you then I say let’s quit the self-judgement and instead focus on what you were able to accomplish. Focus on the positive steps you did take.

💜

Everyday is a new day. A new day to put your steps for feeling better into action. Pick one instead of all the things to make progress towards.

🪩Happy New Year! Three words full of hope. Maybe dread for some or even some pressure.

🪩In trying to have a higher level of focus I found some visuals to help remind us what to leave in 2023. Some ideas on what to bring into 2024. Also, some ideas for a to do list and a really thoughtful list of self-care ideas. Lastly, things to remember for this new year.

🪩However 2023 ended for you, I hope 2024 brings you joy and fulfillment. As always you are not alone and there is no shame in asking for help.

🪩Some pages that have some great ideas and suggestions…

Today is and the focus is about mental health being health and that it is universal. Mental health is not to be taken lightly. Please be gentle with yourself as it has been real heavy and emotional the past few days and know there is hope and help.

Please check in with how you are doing and reach out to someone if you realize you are struggling. Here are some pages that offer support and resources including 988.

I know it isn’t easy to ask for help and today I had to reach out as I got some news about the passing of one of the most influential people in my life. My first coach (that wasn’t my dad) passed away. I have to say it hurts and I am having a hard time letting go of the tears as it feels so painful and surreal. The one thing that makes it slightly easier is to think of him being welcomed by the parents and grandparents of his players that some of us have lost. I imagine they are having a team party at a pizza place with pitchers of whatever. Thank you coach for seeing me and my potential and pushing me to be better. You are the one who made me cry and gave me an ulcer but you also gave me the drive to play up and know who I am and be proud of myself. Thank you for shaping so many of us!

Today, September 10, is in the midst of Su***de Prevention Month. Part of today’s motto is “we all have a role to play” and I know sometimes that feels overwhelming and most people don’t know what to do or say or where to start.

💚Here are some resources to save in the event you ever need them for yourself or someone you know. Some really helpful pages are , , , and . They are great advocates with plenty of information and resources.

💚one of the best reminders they share is that this world is not better without you.
