💙 A Lasting Tribute of Love 💙

Last week, we had the honor of unveiling a memorial tile in loving memory of Anne Sanquinnii, beloved wife of longtime Silicon Valley resident and community supporter Dick Sanquinnii. The tile, displayed in our beautiful backyard, simply reads: “In Loving Memory, Anne Sanquinnii.” 🕊

This meaningful tribute stands as a lasting symbol of love, remembrance, and compassion — bringing comfort not only to Anne’s family, but also to the many families who find peace and reflection in our garden.

We are deeply grateful to Dick for choosing to honor Anne in such a heartfelt way, and for his continued support of our community.

💛 Honoring a Legacy of Love 💛

With heavy hearts, we share that Anne Marie’s father, “Opa” Asnong, recently passed away. Though many may not have known him personally, his impact on JW House reaches far beyond what words can capture.

From the very beginning — all the way in Belgium, where JW House fundraising first took root — Anne Marie’s parents were steadfast supporters of this mission. Until just a few years ago, Anne Marie and her dad would cook together for JW House whenever he was visiting, sharing meals that were rooted in love, family, and service.

When Anne Marie told her dad she loved him, he always replied, “I love you more.” And those who knew him knew he truly did.

During the hardest season of Anne Marie’s life — when JW was sick — her parents were her rock. They stood beside her then, just as they stood behind the mission of JW House in every way they could.

To honor his beautiful legacy, JW House has placed a custom plaque on a bench in our backyard that reads: “In Loving Memory of ‘Opa’ Asnong — ‘I love you more.’”

His love lives on — in our house, in our hearts, and in every family we serve. 💙

Join us at beautiful Vasona Lake Park in Los Gatos for the JW House Hope Run — a 5K & 10K hosted by our incredible JW House Student Board in support of families facing medical crises.

This scenic course winds along the lake and park trails and is open to runners, walkers, teams, strollers, and all experience levels — fully accessible and family-friendly!

💙 Grateful for Our NCL Willow Rose Community! 💙

Over the weekend, JW House was honored to be invited by NCL Willow Rose Chapter to take part in their incredible philanthropy efforts. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing JW House advocate Meg Garretson for organizing everything — and for creating the cutest photo collages! — and to our wonderful table helper Jessica for making sure everything was beautifully set up.

We were able to share how we support families in medical crisis and invited attendees to help create hospital care packages — a hands-on way to spread comfort and compassion.

We are incredibly grateful to Naho, finalist on Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship: Season 11, who once again donated her time and talent to JW House — baking delicious cupcakes for our families on Christmas Day. 💙

Last month, George Diolivera and Tiffany Gray at the Costco on Coleman hosted a wonderful toy drive for JW House — and this marks their third year doing so! Their continued generosity helps bring comfort, joy, and smiles to the families and children we serve.

We’re also so grateful for our amazing Tuesday regular volunteer, LeeAnne, who is always there helping organize and support these outreach events with them. We truly couldn’t do this without incredible community champions like you.

💜 A Gift Made With Love 💜

We recently received a beautiful quilt donation from Donna Landry, and our hearts are full of gratitude. Donna is a breast cancer survivor who celebrated 18 months cancer-free in November, and she continues to turn her journey into comfort for others.

Donna has donated quilts to JW House in the past, and each one brings warmth, care, and a sense of home to the families staying with us during some of life’s hardest moments. Our families truly love them.

✨ Community in Action ✨

We are so grateful to St. John Vianney Catholic School for their incredible generosity through their Advent Donations initiative this December 💙

Students from kindergarten through 8th grade came together for a schoolwide food and pantry drive in support of JW House — showing that compassion has no age limit. This meaningful effort was organized with the help of Ruby and her son, who worked closely with us to make JW House one of the organizations supported during Advent.

Because of these amazing students and families, our pantry will be stocked with essentials that help us care for families facing medical crises — one meal, one act of kindness at a time.

JW House keeps families together during medical crisis by offering a welcoming home close to the hospital and providing a caring and compassionate environment that inspires hope.

Located on the campus of Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center, JW House welcomes families and individuals from area hospitals into our family for rest and self-care during the day or overnight while their loved one is in the hospital.

No family should be separated when they need each other the most.
