💜 A Gift Made With Love 💜

We recently received a beautiful quilt donation from Donna Landry, and our hearts are full of gratitude. Donna is a breast cancer survivor who celebrated 18 months cancer-free in November, and she continues to turn her journey into comfort for others.

Donna has donated quilts to JW House in the past, and each one brings warmth, care, and a sense of home to the families staying with us during some of life’s hardest moments. Our families truly love them.

✨ Community in Action ✨

We are so grateful to St. John Vianney Catholic School for their incredible generosity through their Advent Donations initiative this December 💙

Students from kindergarten through 8th grade came together for a schoolwide food and pantry drive in support of JW House — showing that compassion has no age limit. This meaningful effort was organized with the help of Ruby and her son, who worked closely with us to make JW House one of the organizations supported during Advent.

Because of these amazing students and families, our pantry will be stocked with essentials that help us care for families facing medical crises — one meal, one act of kindness at a time.

🥞 Record-Breaking News! 🥞

This past Sunday, December 7th, the JW House Student Board hosted their annual Pancake Breakfast—and together, they raised over $13,500 for JW House! 🎉

This is the most we’ve ever raised in the history of this event, and it’s all thanks to the dedication, passion, and hard work of our amazing Student Board members. These students continue to inspire us with their commitment to supporting families facing medical crises, and we couldn’t be prouder.

We’re also deeply grateful for the unwavering support from Student Board parents, our Board of Directors, and the JW House staff. A special shoutout to the board members who put on their aprons and volunteered in the kitchen 👩‍

🌟 Small Hands, Big Hearts! 🌟

All the kindergarten classes at Manuel De Vargas Elementary School came together in the sweetest way — by collecting their spare change to support families at JW House. 💙

After reaching out to see how their students could make a difference, Miss Christine Roberts and her three kindergarten classes jumped into action… and their kindness truly shined.

Thanks to their incredible effort, these amazing students raised over $850 for JW House! 🥹

We are so excited to share that Naho, a finalist on Food Network’s Kids Baking Championship: Season 11, donated beautifully crafted cupcakes for our families this Thanksgiving! 🧁

Naho runs her own small business, Miley Baking, where she regularly donates her baked goods to children in need, local nonprofits, and organizations making a difference in the community. Her generosity and talent brought so much joy to our families during the holiday — a true gift during a challenging time for many of them. 💙
