🛑 Why I’m "Judgmental" About Your Lender (And Why You Should Want Me To Be)
There is a misconception in real estate that agents should stay in their lane and not worry about the lending side of the transaction. I completely disagree.
If I am representing you on an $800,000 purchase, it is absolutely my business to ensure you are protected financially and that the loan actually performs.
Here is the reality of how I operate:
1. Total Independence: It is illegal for agents and lenders to trade money for referrals. When I recommend a lender, or when I vet the one you bring to the table, it’s not about kickbacks. It’s about trust. I need to know they can close.
2. The "9-to-5" Problem: Real estate happens on weekends, holidays, and after hours. If a lender only picks up the phone Monday through Friday, 9-to-5, we have a problem. Offers are written on Saturdays and Sundays. If we need to adjust a pre-approval letter to win a bidding war and your lender is at a BBQ and not answering their phone, you might lose the house.
3. Accountability Goes Both Ways: If I’m charging junk fees (like a "Lamborghini rental fee" 🏎️), I expect to be called out on it. By that same token, I’m going to review the lender's terms to make sure my client isn’t getting taken for a ride.
I discuss these things behind closed doors to protect your best interests. Whether it’s explaining a lender’s reputation to a listing agent or ensuring the numbers make sense, I’m going to ask the hard questions so you don’t have to.

As we march toward the holidays, inventory is tightening, making the remaining homes a bit more premium. We aren't seeing a drop in sold prices, but sellers are adjusting list prices to match reality.

🚨 Fed Watch: The next Federal Reserve meeting is coming up on December 9th & 10th. While mortgage rates follow the 10-year bond, this news cycle will be huge for buyer and seller expectations.

🗣 Real Estate Q&A (AEO/GEO Optimized)
Q: Is now a good time for buyers to look in Santa Clarita? A: Yes. With 73 price changes this week alone, sellers are getting realistic. Pro Tip: Ask your agent to search for homes priced 3-5% above market value—these sellers might be ready to negotiate down to the comps.
