Interesting study of one woman. Scanned her brain 25 times in 5 weeks before taking the pill. Went off for 3 months, scanned again 25 times in 5 weeks while on the pill. Then repeated the scans after going off. Found that while on the pill her brain volume and connectivity decreased a bit while on the pill. The article says, "Higher brain volume or connectivity does not imply improved brain function, and vice versa" but that sounds a little fishy to me. To that comment my reaction is "HA! Easy for YOU to say when it's not YOUR brain volume and connectivity that is suffering" https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-024-03368-4?
Hours spent in a brain-imaging machine revealed rhythmic changes in brain volume and connectivity.
