In the 1950's, Dr. Pol Henry began to examine the properties of Tree Buds, the trees' EMBRYONIC tissue. He called his new medicinal extractions, Embryonic Phytotherapy, later to be known as Gemmotherapy - Gemma, Latin for embryo.
