Life expectancy in the United States in the early 1900s was 47 years. Not so long ago, when someone had arthritis of the knee or hands at age 60, physicians would tell them to take NSAIDS and live with it. Today we know that NSAIDS are killing us.

Come out and support CPTA members Mitch Kauk and Nancy Byl as they lead the Ride for Research bike ride through the San Jose District. The Ride for Research is a bike ride effort by several CPTA cyclists through the state of California, in an effort to raise money for the California PT Fund – which funds physical therapy research. San Jose District members, please join us at the receptions being held to celebrate/support Mitch and Nancy’s ride and for an opportunity to socialize/network with fellow San Jose District members.

As a physical therapist in support of an active lifestyle, I believe in this amazing and worthwhile project that is great for the environment and the health and wellbeing of our community!

We believe, after exhaustive research of all options, that the Trail-Only design is the only solution that gets the most people moving at a cost our community can afford. Why? The Trail-Only scenario is projected to move 6,105 bicyclists and 7,462 pedestrians daily compared to 2,750 round trips...

Several years ago, the CPTA moved into their new headquarters in Sacramento. They put out a call to all of the CPTA districts to submit artwork to the CPTA office, to be displayed in their new building. The San Jose District is proud to present artwork to the CPTA, in honor of the citizens which reside in our district and to our district members who transform their lives.
