Loving my new space in San Mateo for nursing school ~ I can even fit a massage table 🥰 I know I said I was done while in school, buuuuut it felt good to turn back to these old healing hands and do something I feel competent in - especially with being a brand new nursing school student where I feel like I know nothing! BIG CHANGES & CALL FOR HOUSING ~ excited to report I was just accepted into the ABSN program at SF State starting THIS SUMMER!! ~ feeling grateful & proud, (in shock honestly!) & logistically swarmed in thinking about the life changes that are coming my way ~ moving from Big Sur with my sweetie to student life on the SF peninsula, which leads me to….putting all feelers out for potential housing near San Mateo starting this June - any leads welcome! More details to come about my last massage dates & future nursing student vibrations…thank you all, lots of love ###

It has been a winter-weather-ruled season down in Big Sur! While it can certainly be inconvenient and logistically tiring, I absolutely love living on this rugged natural coastline. Being exposed to the elements in these ways makes me immensely grateful for the solar power we use, the wood stove we have burning, and all the road maintenance my partner does. Our cabin shakes in the wind, and we hear the rain all night & day. I know I am lucky in these resources & climate change has hit many people so brutally this winter. Alas, the swallows have returned from Argentina, and perhaps that means spring is coming. I am personally loving this wet wet winter! 💧
Here is a little recent timeline of getting to town for a full weekend of massage:
•Shuttle in the kabota from cabin to highway (make sure everything stays dry!)
•Move massage stuff to car and drive to slide
•Shuttle stuff across slide
•Rescue vehicle Eurovan for the win (thanks mom!)

Woke up today feeling funky. Tired and emotionally wrung out. Not looking forward to the tasks at hand for the day. Gave a 90 minute massage and felt restored by the sweet connection and the giving to someone who needed it. Sometimes I can forget that offering bodywork is a gift, not just for the client, but to myself. It renewed my spirit & for that I am so grateful. Thank you for trusting your bodies in my hands. It is truly an honor.
