Elene Johas Teener is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in Santa Cruz, CA. Her psychotherapy practice over the last 30 years has included adults, couples, families, groups, and parental consultations. She completed postgraduate training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems and is using the extremely effective research validated Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. She also uses treatment modalities such as hypnosis, gestalt, bioenergetics and mindfulness meditation. Elene has worked in many aspects of mental health: running several non-profits, the Family Services Agency, the Su***de Prevention Center, as well as the Mendocino County and Placer County mental health extended care programs.
