Our dedicated team of professionals are committed to providing personalized support and companionship, for our aging community, in the comfort of their own homes. In the early 1980’s Becky Peters and Pam Goodman were not only caring for a handful of aging clients, they were managing their care, from finances and safety to social interactions. There wasn’t an agency in Santa Cruz County that did this kind of comprehensive, all-inclusive service, and only a few on the entire West Coast. So with a $12,000 loan and a solid plan for the future, they founded Lifespan, a comprehensive aging care management agency dedicated to providing the highest quality and most cost-effective care. Three decades later, they’re still going strong, with nearly 100 employees, including 60 health care aides and 10 personal assistants, becoming a leader and innovator in aging care service in the area.

On Random Acts of Kindness Day, one of the most impactful things you can do is help an older adult feel seen, heard, and connected, especially when 37% of older adults report feeling lonely and 34% feel socially isolated.

Our Well-Being program brings that care and connection to life for seniors every day. Dedicated Well-Being Activity Coordinators encourage companionship, support activities they enjoy, and help families bring connection and purpose into their loved one’s life.

As we prepare to observe Presidents Day ❤️🤍💙, we pause to reflect on President John F. Kennedy’s reminder that “the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”

We don’t just celebrate our senior clients, we serve them. Because the truest form of gratitude is shown through care, dignity, and respect for the lives and legacies they’ve shared.

Happy Presidents Day.

Important message: Our offices will be closed on Monday, February 16, and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, February 17. Our 24/7 on-call staff remains available for emergencies.

💙Out in the Community💙

It’s inspiring to see our Lifespan team members giving back. Joleen Cuellar recently volunteered at the Santa Cruz VSO, helping prepare meals for local veterans. During her visit, she received her official volunteer uniform and badge and witnessed a generous $5,000 donation from Safeway to support the Santa Cruz Vets Hall.

Acts like these show how caring extends beyond our doors and into the heart of the community.
