Dominican Hospital Foundation is hosting a FREE Mammography and Wellness Screening Event offered through Dominican Hospital's Katz Cancer Resource Center and Mobile Wellness Clinic.

What you need to know:
🗓️ Date: Sunday, November 16, 2025
⏰ Time: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
📍 Location: El Mercado Popular Farmers Market, 2601 E Lake Ave, Watsonville, CA 95076

Services Offered:
Cancer Screening and prevention education
Diabetes and blood pressure screenings and education
On-the-spot general health check-ups

Mammography Eligibility Criteria:
Women over 40 years old
Not currently pregnant
Has been at least one year since last mammogram

The Women of Wellness (WoW) Council recently hosted our annual Social at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center, reflecting on seven years of significant investment in women's health at Dominican Hospital.

We proudly celebrated that since 2018, the WoW Council has contributed over $584,000 to vital programs and technologies.

Attendees heard directly from our 2025 grantees, highlighting the direct impact of these funds:

- Bilingual Nurse Navigator (Katz Cancer Resource Center) - $50,000
- Senior and Dependent Adult Program (Wellness Center) - $50,000
- Panda Infant Resuscitation Warmer (Emergency Department) - $18,285
- Psychosocial Support Services (Katz Cancer Resource Center) - $11,715
- Halo Bassinests (Birth Center) - an additional $14,500 in anonymous support

Wow, check this out!

We would like to highlight the newly refreshed outdoor seating area located between the second floor and the physicians' lounge. Our groundskeeper, Pete, took the initiative to redesign the outdoor cafe patio space at Dominican Hospital. He did an excellent job of reinvigorating this area, making it a more enjoyable space for both staff and visitors to relax and get some fresh air.

This refresh was made possible by donations to the Foundation!
