Your body adapts to what you do.

And what you don't do.

When you avoid movements because they're uncomfortable, your body learns to protect and compensate. Tissues that need loading don't get loaded. Patterns that need refinement never get refined.

Avoidance doesn't create change. It creates protection.

And protection, over time, becomes restriction.



The very thing you're trying to avoid becomes permanent.

The "Just Tell Me What to Do" Problem

Most people come in wanting a prescription.
"Tell me what's wrong. Give me the exercises. Fix me."

I understand. You're busy. You want solutions.
But this approach has two problems:
1. It creates dependence.
You need someone else to tell you what to do.
2. It ignores context.
Your body changes day to day. What you need today might not be what you need tomorrow.

What body literacy looks like:
Instead of blindly following instructions, you learn to read your body's signals.
You understand the difference between:
→ Protective pain (stop) vs. adaptive discomfort (keep going with awareness)
→ Fatigue (rest) vs. lack of challenge (progress)
→ Restriction (needs addressing) vs. natural limitation (needs respect)

When you develop a relationship with your body, you:
✓ Know when to push and when to back off
✓ Catch problems early before they become injuries
✓ Understand why something works (not just that it works)
