Registration is open for the Santa Fe Skating Club’s Spring Learn to Skate session!! Our program teaches kids the fundamentals of skating in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

Classes are 30-minutes and are on Saturday mornings. The Spring Session runs from April 11 - May 16. The registration fee is $129 per skater, and includes skate rental.

We offer an adaptive/therapeutic class for skaters who need more personalized attention. The adaptive class is at 10:30 AM and the registration fee is $65 per skater. The reduced fee is made possible due to a generous donation from a skating family.

The mechanical situation at the GCCC ice rink has stabilized. The rink will reopen, and regular programming will resume, on Monday, February 9. Thank you to Mayor Michael J. Garcia, Director Manuel Sanchez, City Staff, and Michael Hering for making this happen.

Unfortunately, the GCCC ice rink is closed through the weekend due to ongoing mechanical issues. City staff and contractors are working diligently to resolve the immediate issues and to preserve the ice.

We are so sorry to announce that Learn to Skate is cancelled on Saturday, February 7 due to GCCC ice rink mechanical issues.

Once we know how severe the issues are, or aren’t, we will share our plan to some up for the lost time this weekend.

Out of an abundance of caution due to the predicted winter weather event this weekend, we have decided to cancel Learn to Skate tomorrow - Saturday, January 24. We will add a week of Learn to Skate on March 7 to make up for the cancellation.

Our Winter Learn to Skate session starts Saturday, January 17!!
Our classes are for ages 5-16.

The registration fee is $129 for a 6-week session; classes are 30-min each. The fee includes entry into the Genoveva Chavez Community Center, skate rental, and Learn to Skate USA membership.

We offer an adaptive/therapeutic class for skaters who need more specialized attention.
