Most of us don’t realize how much emotional protection we’re carrying. Over time, heartbreak, loss, or repeated disappointment can create a Heart Wall—layers of trapped emotions around the heart designed to keep you safe.

While protective at first, this energetic wall can quietly limit your connections, your ability to be safely vulnerable and emotional ease.

When your Heart Wall is removed, you’ll notice you feel lighter, more open, and better able to process emotions as they arise. Hurt feelings may still occur, but instead of lingering for days—or years—they move through more easily. Love, support, and closeness become easier to give and receive.

Let me offer Heart Wall removal as a gentle way to reconnect with yourself and experience relationships with more flow and intimacy.

Self-kindness creates approachability. Self-judgment creates distance.

When you are constantly critical of yourself, even if only internally, that energy is projected outward—often without realizing it. It will make others feel hesitant, guarded, or unsure about how to open up to you.

Self-acceptance softens your energy. We all have “bad days” when we’re not at our best. Give yourself a break. Your being genuine about what’s going on gives other’s permission to do the
same. Being kind to yourself isn’t weakness—it’s a strength. Embrace it.

This Valentine’s season, try offering yourself the kindness you hope to receive from others.

Dr. Bradley Nelson in his book “The Emotion Code” introduced the idea of trapped emotions—emotional energies from life experiences that don’t fully process and instead get
stored in the body. Over time, many of these emotions can collect around your heart, forming what’s known as a Heart Wall. Apparently, 98% of us may have a heart wall.

This develops as a form of protection after heartbreak, loss, betrayal, or emotional overwhelm. It thickens over time, quietly creating a barrier to connection, vulnerability, and emotional flow.

Clearing these trapped emotions helps you feel more open and emotionally available. Hurt feelings may still arise—but instead of lingering for days or years, they move through quickly.

I’m a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner. Mention this post to receive a 10% discount on removing your Heart Wall. I’d love to help. janecphillips.com

In my last post, I shared how the young woman from the bathroom happily left for the circus to ride the Ferris Wheel with her boyfriend.

Next, I moved into the hallway to see what energy might still be there.

That’s when I encountered a male energy.

“Where did everybody go? I thought the family was here but now they’re gone.”
I said, “You died.”

“Oh, I did? Oh, that explains why I’ve been feeling so weird. Can I go to the circus to find my daughter?”

I watched him leave.

A few days later, Valerie told me the guest bedroom and hallway now felt better than they had in three years. But the guest bathroom still felt “buzzy.”

When I checked again, I discovered the daughter had come back from the circus because she had gotten sick on the Ferris Wheel, left her boyfriend… and come “home.”

I then sent her to heaven.

Valerie later confirmed the entire guest area was finally clear.
And for the first time since moving in, the whole house truly felt like HOME.

✨ If your home has never quite felt settled — even after time, repairs, or renovations — it may be holding onto energy that’s ready to be released.

Energy clearing helps restore balance so your space can support you fully, instead of reminding you of what’s already passed.

In my last post, I shared how a woman energy in Valerie’s guest bedroom finally agreed to leave — walking peacefully into the forest with her boyfriend.

Once she was gone, I moved into the guest bathroom to see if anything else remained.

That’s when I encountered a young woman, about 22 years old.

“Where did my Mother go?!”

I said, “Into the forest With her boyfriend.”
“My Dad!?” she exclaimed.

“No, her boyfriend,” I replied.
“She was cheating?!”
“No, your Dad had died.”

She paused, then said, “Oh, I didn’t know. Can I have a boyfriend too?”

I said, “Sure, where would you like to go?”

She answered, “To the circus to ride on the Ferris Wheel.”

Then she said…

“This is lovely, this is lovely. I’m forever grateful. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.”

Lots of tears. She waved goodbye.
And then… I headed into the hallway.

In the beginning of December 2025, I cleared a property in Virginia for a lovely mother named Valerie and her family. They had lived in the house for more than three years and never truly felt settled there. Their very first day had started with an unpleasant interaction with a neighbor — and sometimes, those first moments leave an energetic imprint that lingers.

After the initial clearing, Valerie told me most of the house now felt wonderful… except one area. The Guest Bedroom, Guest Bath, and Hallway still felt uncomfortable and “off.”

So I got on the phone with Valerie while she stood in the hallway, and I energetically went into the guest bedroom to see what was still there.

That’s when I encountered a woman energy in the guest bedroom.

And this is where the “fun” began.

“Who the hell are you! You don’t belong here! You’re a stranger! Butt out! It’s my home!, Danger, danger, danger!”

I stood there quietly until she stopped yelling. Then I asked her…

“Would you like to leave?”

“Yes,” she admitted. “I’d like to walk into the forest with my boyfriend.”

I imagined a beautiful forest path opening up and watched her leave, holding hands with her boyfriend.

This week, I’m sharing one of my favorite real-life energy clearing stories.

It’s about a family who lived in their home for over three years and never quite felt settled — even after a clearing. What followed was a series of unexpected (and surprisingly touching) conversations that helped the house finally feel like HOME.

It’s funny, heartfelt, and a beautiful reminder that homes — just like people — carry stories that sometimes need help being completed.

✨ If you’ve ever walked into a space and thought, “Something feels off, but I can’t explain why,” this story may resonate.

At the start of a new year, we often focus on goals—but energy comes first. Before setting intentions, it can be powerful to ask:

How do I want to feel in my home and in my body this year?

Calm? Clear? Supported? Inspired?

When emotional residue lingers from last year, it quietly shapes your days. Intention matters. Spending some quiet time, perhaps with your journal, helps you notice that residue and helps you release what’s no longer needed so your intentions can actually take root.

A New Beginning isn’t about pushing harder; it’s about starting lighter.

💬 What feeling are you intentionally inviting into your life this year?

When people think about clearing their home, they often feel overwhelmed—like they have to do everything at once. But here’s the truth: decluttering one small area can shift the energy of your entire space.

A single drawer (I start with my junk drawer) countertop, or closet can hold emotional weight from the past year—unfinished business, old memories, or stress you didn’t realize you were carrying. As you release physical clutter, emotional and energetic clutter often follows.

New Beginnings don’t require perfection—just intention. Your home feels lighter when you do.

💬 I’d love to know—if you were to clear just one area in your home this week, what would it be?

Lately, I’ve noticed as I work with my clients, how many of them feel anxious, drained, or even helpless after watching the news. Staying informed can slowly turn us into absorbing fear—especially when there’s nothing tangible we can do about what we’re seeing.

I made a Post-It note that I have prominently displayed in my office.

What is my Sphere of Influence?
Focus there!

Where can your energy actually make a positive difference? What do you enjoy? What are you good at? Where do you feel uplifted rather than depleted?

When we shift focus back to what’s within our reach, our energy changes. Take a break from the news so intention and purpose can take its place.

💬 I’m curious—how has staying informed affected your energy, and where do you want to focus instead this year?

Energy clearing a home isn’t always a “one and done” process—especially when a family has lived with discomfort for 3 years. After clearing any property I allow the familiy to take two weeks to walk through their home with their eyes closed and feel each space.

If anything still feels unstable, unsafe, or “off,” they report back—and we continue the work.

In this case, most of the house in Midlothian, VA felt lighter immediately. But one area remained pretty uncomfortable: a guest bedroom, its bathroom, and the outside hallway. During our follow-up session, I connected with three ghost energies (an angry women in the bedroom, her daughter in the bathroom and Dad in the hallway) remotely from my office in Santa Fe, New Mexico, while on the phone with my client. I’d love to tell the full story here as it was pretty interesting and a bit funny. Maybe later.

The women in the bedroom was very angry and after she calmed down, she left into the forest with her boyfriend. The 22 year old daughter in the bathroom wondered where her Mother had gone and then left to go to the Circus with HER boyfriend. The Dad in the hallway asked me where his family had gone.

After explaining, he decided to go to the Circus to find his daughter. He hadn’t realized he was dead and told me after he found out “No wonder I’ve been feeling so weird!” LOL

My client then walked into all three spaces and said they felt neutral, calm and safe.
That was the final step in transforming a house that had felt unsettling for 3 years into a true home.

My client expressed deep gratitude—and relief. Sometimes this is what it takes. And sometimes, that extra effort makes all the difference.
