Finding the right diet for your pet is just as important as finding the right treatment when facing a cancer diagnosis.

This new peer-reviewed study from Cornell University found that dogs that were fed a fresh, whole food diet showed lower levels of advanced glycation end products - compounds associated with aging and chronic disease. They also showed higher levels of antioxidant and protective metabolites. Together, these shifts suggest that dogs that were fed this diet had a metabolic profile more supportive of healthy aging and reduced oxidative stress. These functions play a huge role in preventing cancer and other chronic health conditions.

We are so happy to have so many birthdays to celebrate these past few weeks!

Happy belated birthday to Halo! 😇🥳

Halo has been coming to VCC since 2023 for the treatment of Mast cell tumor, and more recently, Hemangiosarcoma that resulted in a splenectomy. She receives personalized therapy through Genomic testing, and an Autologous Cancer Immunotherapy vaccine made from her own tumor.

She is a strong little girl and clearly so very loved by her people!

Who knew laser therapy could be this relaxing?! 😎

In this video you can see Carlos performing cold laser therapy on one of our patients. Our K-laser uses a combination of different wavelengths of light to increase blood flow, stimulate the immune system, and reduce inflammation.

Cold laser has proven to be very helpful for our cancer patients post surgery or local treatment to reduce swelling, pain, and tissue reactions.

These treatments are painless, stress-free, and quick - as shown in this video!

Dan is a fighter who has been seeing us for the treatment of various health conditions as well as his Osteosarcoma. To celebrate his big day - his mom brought some goodies to the clinic to share!

Lulu has been coming to see us here at VCC for treatment of her multicentric Lymphoma, and we are so happy to share that she is on her way to full remission!

Lulu’s mom threw her a puppy party for her birthday! She is clearly so very loved and we are grateful to be able to share this day with her 💕🥳

✨Patient Highlight!✨

This big brave boy is Odin.

Odin came to see us back in July after the whirlwind of facing a diagnosis of Osteosarcoma and subsequent limb amputation due to his cancer. Odin's mom reached out to us looking for guidance on how to manage his condition going forward.

Thanks to Dr. Kelly's innovative care through DNA sequencing and an Autologous Cancer Immunotherapy vaccine made specifically for Odin by utilizing samples of his own tumor - we have created a treatment protocol that has allowed Odin to have an excellent quality of life! We love getting videos from his mom of him wrestling with his fur-siblings!

We also work closely with Odin's regular veterinarians to ensure coordinated care in all aspects of his health. Thank you, mom, for sharing this sweet boy with us!
