Do we know where our minds are right now? Chances are they are off somewhere else, like kids gone wild! Unfortunately, the only place that is actually real is right here and now. And the only thing that isn't real? Our thoughts. P**f. How do we stay present? Notice what pulls us out. Judgement is a big one. Forgiveness brings us back.

This time of year can be pretty challenging, particularly if we have lost friends or family. I really try to remember that we are all just borrowing these bodies for a while before we move on in the continuous flow of awareness. Anam Thubten spoke today about how our consciousness is like a train, and this life is a station we jumped off at to grab a cup of chai, got distracted and forgot to get back on again... until we die. Then we are all back on the train again. I like to think that my friends and family that have moved on are on that train laughing it up, just waiting until it passes through this station again and I get back on again.
